Layout
Kamui Shirou, from X, is this feature's coverboy. His character undergoes tremendous change from X-1 to the current times. His persona morphs from that of an angry, rebellious upstart, to a devastated victim, an indecisive leader and, at last! the nice boy of X16+. Besides, he's simply adorable.

Online since Aug.30, 01. *wooo! -_-;*

Oh, Joy XP

Hey! I'm back. Well, I got back last week but this is the first time I have some time on my hands to do all the blogging that my little heart desires^^;;

Wow, another year has past by (so quickly, it seems! I feel so old!). Actually, 2001 was quite a substantial year for me. These are just some of the things I've done this year--not all is cool but certainly, memorable^_^

-I became obsessed with anime. Saw many new series other than Escaflowne, including Rurouni Kenshin (still not finished that yet), Trigun, Saber Marionette J and Utena (thanks, ever, to Paul). I also got totally "into" the X universe.

-Met and made friends with some really awesome and cool people online!

-Learned HTML from scratch. Made my own little collective.

-Graduated from highschool with an overall average of 87%. Got early acceptance to all four universities that I applied for.

-Decided to accept U of T; is currently enrolled in the Life Science programme. Survived first term without too much trouble.

-Worked in France as a live-in nanny for a month, made good friends there--and learned lots of practical stuff too! Such as...cooking french food, buying baguettes just like in the films, speaking french (no da)...wiping the little kid's butt.

-Smoked "a bit" of Camels and weed.

-Successfully quit smoking (!!!).

Gee, I guess that's all. Hmmm...not very exciting afterall ;_;

Right! Happy New Years everyone! See ya in 2002!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Have a safe and joyful Xmas everyone!! Hope you'll watch tons of anime, see tons of friends and have a blast with the family!

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to put up the Hitomi shrine before I leave (c'mon, it's only 4 days^^; not even a ripple in the pond compared to the month-long trip to France last summer). The layout's been more or less finished. However, thank you a bunch Dianna for the kind offer to help with the design *hug*

Sonja, guess what? I saw Lord of the Ring today! Unfortunately, Sean Bean's character didn't appeal to me all that much, but the movie was great. At the recommendation of a certain someone *cough*Sal*ahem*, I bought the entire series at the bookstore right after. I'm sure it's going to be entertaining.

Ohh...check out Gatti and Savie's new layouts! Gorgeous designs, wowzers.

Okey, gotta catch some shut-eye time. G'night and talk to y'all soon.

Drat those cliffhangers!

I'm right at the beginning of the Kyoto arc of Rurouni Kenshin. Argh, damn these annoying cliff-hangers! What's going to happen to the guys at home?! Is the last we're going to see of Kaoru & co.? I want to know. But don't tell me. But I want to know. Urgh >_<;;;.

Here here Now

Hang in there my friend, exams majorly suck but soon, it'll pass by--then, we get, like, so many more days off school than in our highschool days. And that's a good thing!

Scientists Warn of Abrupt World Climate Change

As much as I bemoaned the fact that the ecology unit in Bio150 was a course from hell, when I read something like that I'm still glad to know what the hell they're talking about. Glad in the sense that I have a better vision of it than, oh, say, GW Bush >:( Yeah, if you ever have the opportunity to take an ecology/environmental science course, go for it--it's actually kind of important. Definitely worth the money. And it's lots more practical than differential calculus XP.

Rubie, I was hoping against hope that you got my message but time has proven contrary. *points an accusing finger at the void* The big bad internet swallowed up my message to u! I will send again soon: forgive. Do you remember that Chid fic we were non-working on? I found part 1 of chapter 1, I shall send it to you and we can laugh over it together. It's not ... that bad but...well. I think I wrote most of it. It must've been me.

Dolphin/Saluria: I checked out Exhalibour, you know, that mediaval store? It sucks! I was gonna go there to find a gift for ya but other than the cool Loreena McKenitt music they had on, the merchandise was so cheesy--we gotta go to Kensington Market for new age stuff.

Gatti, I'm so sorry I cut off the message, I got disconnected out of the blue. A demain, perhaps.

Hey hey, is school all over for you? I believe you said it was as of Wed...so, congrats! Woohoo!

Okay, I guess the brash layout I had for the Hitomi shrine was just too ugly to use. Gah! What's with this string of ugly layouts I've been doing lately? What does it mean; should I take a break from sites or what? Hmm. Whatever. I re-did the look once more (on version 4 now. v1 had sunflowers; too plain. v2 was...pink. Ick. v3 was black and blue, ick encore. v4, current one...Tsubasa no Kami-ish.) I guess it's now a bit too candy-ish for my tastes and not a single splotch of black to be found; I always use black *sweatdrop*. NEwho, I'm still compiling fanworks/fanart and stuff like that so the shrine won't debut for another week or so. And then I'm leaving for the US.

Pitas, thou art sick.

I'm so gonna fail my biology test. I once got 102% on a bio test and tomorrow I'm going to f.a.i.l my first one. In uni too...what terrific timing.

Whirlwind blogging..

Sav, I myself really enjoyed X the movie but a lot of people hate it. I'm on edge to know what you thought of it! Isn't Fuuma hot? He's younger than me too. But that's okay. Once, in highschool, I was just walking down the hall with my friends and out of the corner of my eye, I saw this guy lift up his shirt to wipe the perspiration from his brow (probably after a PhyEd class). Woah, lust at first sight *_* When I turned to get a better look at this mysterious blond stud, I quickly realized that he was about 2 grades younger than I was. Killed the crush right then and there. But anime is anime, and Fuuma IS sexy.

Mary, I love the look of the would-be blog. Could you do the layout for my Hitomi shrine please? I'm serious.

Gatti, angel...go for it: I want to see!

Amy, I shall go on strike if CLAMP kills off Karen (or Seiichirou). U with me? ^_^

My internet connection is so fucked up...umm...have I mentioned I'm gonna fail bio? I was planning on blogging some more but I keep getting disconnected. Oiy, wish me luck dear friends, romans and fellow...er...friends. I don't really know the quote but I like pretending I do to look smart O_x

Takes a breather [social blogging]

Linked Gatti's blog! She's a talented authoress and artist; a good friend too! *waves*

Sonja, I LOVE Sean Bean, definitely one of the coolest British actors around. Can't wait to see the Lord of the Rings movie! Everyone's excited to see it, ne? Comes out Dec. 16, I believe.

Love all the new layouts friends are getting up! I love it; it's so much fun seeing them. For instance, you gotta go check out Amy's new layout. The pale lavender and dove-blue-gray blends well together: Tori is an angel! So pretty...awww, shucks, you've beaten me to it^_^. And mine isn't half as cool as yours (it's based on the romanesque pictures found at RDG.) The greeney one? Anyway, wish ye the very best of luck on those exams. Go and kick some serious booty!

Hey you, don't sweat it; I like it very much indeed! Exams are evil, but the term's almost done, non? Will you be returning to TO for the holidays? *is hopeful*

Di,that was a really spiffy exchange over AIM! And, like I told you earlier, the new FF layout is gorgeous. Dark and inviting; a wonderful combination of the glam and the bold. Stylistically: you.

Woah, Fuuma is such a sexy SoB. And that's all I can say on the matter. Oh yeah, and I absolutely love all of ur X OAV caps!

Another week to go, then I'm....finito!

After Tue. next week, I am officially finished all my tests and stuff. Awww...I was studying for my math test (tomorrow, shit) when I heard this plunk. I look to the desk to see if I'd dropped my eraser or something...and I find a pale orange ladybug hiding itself in the crevase of my binder. Have I told you how Toronto, this fall, experienced a ladybug epidemic? Yeah, ladybugs EVERYwhere, inside and outside too. Mostly outside. *squish squish* Right, so I thought about killing it, but then I seemed to remember some sort of a superstitious thing. Aren't ladybugs lucky or something? Heh heh, I need all the luck I can get to pass this frickin' calc test! The depressing thing is that in highschool, I used to flip out when I got an 80. Now, boy is it ever different! I give myself congratulatory hugs if I get a 70% @_@;;; Anyway, what I ended up doing was scooping the poor, confused little thing into a little clear plastic bag and throwing it into the Great Unknown (i.e.) the front porch. It's like 15 degrees outside, so, hope it'll survive.

Mary, if ye be reading this, I *did* recieve everything you sent me and I loved it! Merci! I went back to the old prototype shrine and salvaged a goodly chunk of information and all that. I'm very hopeful now...except I have no clue what to do for a layout.

Speaking of layouts...Rubie, the new (bloody) layout looks fantastic. Ohhh...if you're interested, we could throw around some ideas for the Y/K story! And then there's always that Y/Sub one, non? BTW, I got AIM! "Remalna"

Wow wow wow, Sav, I love the new winter one for you blog!! It's so...pretty and serene and wintry. If it makes you feel any better, I and several of my friends have weird eating fetishes. Well, mostly them^^;;...I am pretty normal. Umm...I only start morphing after a joint or two. But then, I'm still okay! Yay me ^_^;;; NEway, it may be pretty un-cool for me to confess this, but I myself tend to eat A LOT when I'm under stress. And I always feel terrible for it. For example, during a typical exam period, I'll be eating/munching on something non-stop. Today, for instance, I consumed 2 big apples, a bowl of cheerio, ice-cream, Yop, a blue-berry pie, half a L of H2O, milk, Ferrero Rocher stuff, tea, diet coke...within the space of like 2 hours. Because I'm burning so much energy with studying and the stress of worrying about my academics, I don't seem to gain a single pound even though I'm eating like a proverbial pig. *sigh* I've been at 127-32 pounds since 11th grade, so I highly doubt my weight's going to dramatically change from now on. I've come to the realization that obsessing over self-image is pointless. Before, I used to always despair of my hips, now, I'm fine with it: birthing will be a breeze ^_^;;. And as I moved away from the whole high school environment, I think I've come to appreciate my looks in a more realistic fashion. My hair will always be un-glossy and wavy, unlike most asian girls, and I'm okay with that. If I keep it trimmed and short, it's actually kind of cute. My hands will always be small and no matter how much stretching I do, the bones will never change. So, instead of getting into a fit whenever someone teases me about having small, child-like hands, I can smile with them, etc. etc. Woah, how on earth did I get off on such a tangent?! Err.

Tori layout for blog soon. New, Utena layout for collective soon!

<< scribbled @ Dec. 6, 01 ~ 03:20 a.m. >>

So...tired...almost finished...

I did 6-7 straight hours of biology today, woah, it's usually only 4 >_<.

1-2 PM: Study for biology test next week.
2-3 PM: Greenhouse tour, plant study, blah blah.
3-6 PM: Study bio.
6-8 PM: Bio lectures.
8-9 PM: read more of bio on the subway back, couldn't concentrate because of the noise, so I started reciting out loud. Scared some people when I got to the sexual organs of beetles. >_<;;

Ohhh...got my french test back today. Got a blooming 62%. I got really depressed so I went back to the latte and camels routine.

Ah, after I finish blogging, I have another 4 hours of calculus to study. And like 10 mails to catch up on. Awww...and my Tori layout is starting to go stale! And all those fics I listed the other day are going under again. And I'm spending way too much time blogging and I got like 3 hours of sleep last night. *sigh* Life's sooooooo wonderful.

Forwarded Spoofs

Normally I hate forwards. I've gotten mad at my closest friends if they sent me a forward at one time or other--even when they were cute, cuddly ones too. Err..it's my only pet peeve!

However, for the first time in recent memory, J sent a neat one. It's about the things the universities don't tell you before you get in, so you and you too may have a thing or two to add to the list ^_^;;;

~ Quarters are like gold.
~ Asleep by 2:30 am is an early night.

~ TV becomes a bigger time sucker than ever before.
~ Procrastination becomes an art.

Doh!!

Finals are going to kill me! Should be doing work, but I got sucked into reading fanfiction which I haven't done in a while. Anyway, Kawata by Isabella Kraft is one of the best Subaru x Seishirou series I have ever read. It's that good. I haven't finished with all of it but it looks like it'a gonna be a winner.

Sheesh, Rem, wake-up you silly chick.

I guess I was experiencing a bit of an identity crisis two hours ago. But then I watched some Star Trek and now I'm happy as a lark. Star Trek does wonders for the esteem O_O.
