and maybe upload a few photos.
so till then! :)
enjoy ur holsadoodledoo.

02:52 p.m.
this must be like the longest sunday ever.
in 24 hours, i will be screaming out of school and building a bonfire out of all my chinese notes.
of course, that will be before i realise that i am going to need them for the repeat exam i will inevitably take in november.
pfffft.
on to more current affairs, i have just made a never-has-this-crossed-my-mind-before discovery that i simply insist on sharing with everyone.
please brace urself for this intense revelation.
has it come to ur notice that the word chilli contains the word chill, and yet chilli, as we know it, doesn't actually chill any part of our body (particularly the tongue)?
of course, this phenomenal uncovering of the breakthrough find came only during my lunch of chicken rice (not forgetting the sensational chilli)...
and i am happy to share this piece of information with the world.
quite clearly, i'm on the brink of sanity.
i am smsing in mandarin...
and occasionally, u can find me howling and banging on the dining table with papers littered all around me.
chinese can be a very depressing subject to study.
fortunately, sundays always bring with it my favourite sunday times papers.
don't u just feel like running out of the house and down the streets of singapore everytime u read it?
i mean, it makes u feel so good about living in this infernal rat race that is singapore.
and the ongoing-but-karina-lacking great singapore sale certainly doesn't impede my point either.
so, with my little rants expounded, i shall adjourn to the dining table once again.
huá rén jiâng huá yû.
zài jiàn le! :)

12:19 p.m.
yes okae, so the drama chow and i concocted failed.
we tried tricking jan but...
haiya.
anyway, we're having literature now.
it's back to twelfth night, and what a relief.
it's so much more interesting than kotc, seriously.
and i'm very worried about the chinese paper on monday.
no one can be more underprepared than me (except maybe chow).
egad.
we'll die togeher.
chow and jan are beside me...
here's a poem to them.
chow, chow, my buck-toothed buddy
jan, jan, my cheena friend
okae, gotta go now.
i just cannot rhyme.

04:12 p.m.
(i'm typing secretly cos chow is next to me. haha...she typed that previous entry. i hate her actually but i dunno how to tell her.)
xP

03:55 p.m.
i'm in the com lab with my chow beside me.
jan just left...
that little lizard.
anyway, i am a lizard too!
that is all for now folks.
seeya later alligator.
in awhile crocodile. :)

i love ambigrams, don't u?
i'm definitely incorporating them into my art piece.

02:28 a.m.
i've learnt my lesson to never ever buy anymore orange julius smoothies from junction 8.
seriously, the people there have absolutely no idea how to make them.
as it is, i've bought about 4 drinks from there, hoping against hope that they'd turn out at least decent enough to drink.
but of course, i get ripped off time and again.
sounds drama, yes.
but i take my smoothies very seriously.
i think the best orange julius stores are at paragon and toa payoh central.
it's zilch anywhere else.
okae, be forewarned, i'm going to crap this entire entry with fluff that come only from the toenails of airheads.
speaking of yesterday, annabelle joined sab, tanny and i in delifrance at junction 8 yesterday.
it's been quite long since i last saw her, that annaloo.
anyway, jumping on to saturday, i must say that i find my new french class extremely 'on' about things.
already, they've taken down our contact numbers and email addresses to create a forum for our classmates to discuss.
i was highly amused at the notion.
but they're really very nice 30-year-olds who don't treat us (cindy and i) like someone half their age.
despite the fact that we are.
anyhow, cindy gave me this stuffed dog for my birthday...
and the amusing thing is that it was wearing an outfit of extreme similarity with what i was wearing that same moment.
identical colours of black and blue.
quite amusing.
i was very easily amused today, as u can see.
there was a slight brawl at the french cafe during our break, because the cafe staff were complaining about a group of french beginners (who made complains that service was too slow, and it truly is, frankly speaking) in french, so it was really quite heated, with the beginners not knowing what was being said about them.
tsk tsk...
so drama.
my teacher says we should boycott the cafe, because they always povide bad service.
so we're all bringing our own food next week.
except that i actually love the quiches and tarts and pies in the cafe...
oh yes, cindy and i went to orchard after lesson and i blew a lot on shampoo and stuff.
vera wang and stella mccartney rule with their new perfumes.
i snapped up a bottle of each, and come to think of it, i shouldn't have bought the large ones.
but they're so pretty and feel just great to hold. :)
haha.
it's true, they're really nice to hold in the palm of ur hand.
anyway, i met the bbc (no, not that bbc, but the balcony bridge club...a vain attempt at appearing highly important) for supper at chomp chomp.
had my yummy chilli carot cake and the durian-with-only-gula-melaka-and-red-beans-at-the-bottom ice kacang.
delicious.
i missed all the bus 136s cos it was past midnight...
very wasted.
so we all shared a cab home.
wow okae, i'm getting really tired.
i've purged all my fluff out...
and now for something more substantial, sarah says that sleeping 4 or fewer hours every night on a regular basis results in the loss of 2 years in ur entire lifespan.
leaves something to think about now, doesn't it.
so, sleep. :)

08:53 p.m.
okae the fan is blasting in my face and my fringe (it's a weird length...neither here nor there) is slapping against my eyelids.
the weather's been terrible, no?
hit an ultimate high of 37 degrees on wednesday.
madness.
just got home from serangoon garden...
charm and i went there after ascension day mass at ihm.
we met ms lim (nicest biology teacher!) there. :)
anyway, 3 amazing things happened yesterday that i simply must mention.
firstly, a huge blob of yellow bird poo splattered onto my head during rugby yesterday.
this must be like the epitome of bad luck.
at first, i just felt this cold and wet sensation on my head...
but i brushed it off as raindrops (haha karina, it wasn't raining).
then halfway through the rugby match, charlene told me i had something yellow on my head.
only then did we realised it was bird shit, and so i screamed my way to the toilet.
it was disgusting to say the least.
stick and icky.
i immersed my entire head in foamy dettol water and scrubbed like my life depended on it.
anyhow, i got every morsel of poo off my head, but i still felt icky the entire day.
and i went round scaring people by banging my head into them...
muahahaha.
priceless, those faces.
that was also the day i took my longest, and quite possibly most thorough bath ever at home.
the horror of having bird poo on ur head.
yeesh.
anyway, for my 2nd amazing thing, charm actually wiped the chalkboard.
that is like how incredibly rare.
goodness.
thirdly, i brought my water bottle. :)
that on its own calls for a celebration.
karina, the ultimate water-stealer of 4purity, actually brought her own evian bottle from which she partook her day's intake of mineral water (albeit a few thieves, namely the suspicious charlene, who took a quite few gulps of my mineral-enriched water).
but i forgive her considering the amount of water i sneak from her bottle everyday.
anyway, yes.
i might actually start to bring my own bottle from now on.
except that i never remember to bring my bottles home, so we'll see how long my supply of bottles actually last before i run out of them again...
afterwhich it'll be back to little thieving karina. :)
alrighty, that's about all i have to say today.
please remember to watch the oc at 11pm!
toorah, and watch out for flying birds.
little birdie in the sky
why u do that in my eye?
that's okae, i won't cry
i'm just glad that cows don't fly.

10:34 p.m.
i have found my dream phone.
please click here here here for ur viewing pleasure. :)
i love everything about it.
kancheong karina (alliteration) has given her name and contact number to a few handphone shops for them to inform her once the phone (correction: her phone) arrives.
whoodeedoop.
can't wait. :)
and now, a very quick update coming up.
attended 10.45 mass with post-con this morning.
i think we were making quite a lot of noise...
but anyway, i've found out a few shocking things while gossiping with the girls.
i'll probably be looking at a few church people really differently from now on...
haha.
and i dropped my ipod on the road this morning, so there's an ugly dent on the back mirror.
yeesh.
so unglam.
oh yes, troy is a fantastic movie.
please watch it.
u'll be losing out in life (my fave line) if u don't.
that's all i'm saying...
i'm not a spoiler now, am i. :)
great movie date with swei, jan and charm.
i just realised it's our first movie together!
goodness...scary thought.
we've properly known each other for 2 years already. :)
anyway, i just got home from dinner with the family.
we went to baba's inn near east coast (jan, ur territory!).
gong gong gave us all a treat to peranakan cuisine because he struck 4D...
haha.
and despite how they irritate me, it's always nice to see my cousins.
okae, i'm practically drifting off to sleep before the computer monitor...
gotta go take a shower now.
night. :)
(this entry seems really bimbotic. if u backtrack and analyse, u'll see that i'm right.)

10:25 p.m.
talk about a waste of time.
blame it on the fact that i had to come from a family of thams, because my wonderful index number put me at the back and last in a room of 26 chinese prelim oral takers.
an excruciating 4 hours later, i messed up in my oral.
yes okae basically my listening comprehension wasn't all that fantastic either, thanks to my heavily drooping eyelids.
i think i did fall asleep at one point.
anyhow, jan, charm, sarah and i chatted and stoned at each other for most part of the waiting time.
jan was getting irritating by the 3rd hour, so i forced her to sleep.
haha.
anyway, it's all over.
but wait, that also means the o levels are coming.
holey moley.
after the long day (1pm only), chow and i went to orchard for some shopping!
i did my retail therapy at retail therapy (shop name, how apt).
got my little black dress.
chow bought her nice-and-incredulously-reasonably-priced adidas satchel.
good buy, good buy.
rushed for french afterwards.
i got lost on the 3rd floor of the building, because my new classroom is tucked in this tiny cornerish-hole-in-the-wall i suspect was built for the janitor.
it's difficult finding the room, and i got totally mortified by walking into the wrong class and having everybody stare at me.
goodness, in school uniform somemore.
but bad location aside, i'm glad most of the class has stayed intact along with our teacher. :)
we've already shrunk from 18 to 13 students.
i went to town again with cindy after lesson...
collected some stuff, then took a bus home.
okae, dead beat dead beat.
and this song has been ringing in my head the whole day.
courtesy of janice tan siew hong. :)
everytime i try to fly
i fall
without my wings
i feel so small
oh yes, my dad re-registered for scv, so now it's tv-addiction time again.
discovery travel and adventure rocks my socks.
:)

11:04 p.m.
oh the glorious weekend. :)
friday was slack slack slack through and through.
sab, mitch, tanny, sarah and i went down to serangoon garden after school for dinner at chomp chomp.
louisa, trish and junyi had saved a table (no. 48 again!) for us, so it was a huge relief that we didn't have to wait. :)
some people stood for an hour...
madness.
anyhow, i got myself stuffed like a turkey...
and i met the cutest boy other than kean.
he's about 4, and the sweetest little angel ever, with eyes to-die-for. :)
i took photos of him with my phone...
haha.
he's a poster boy now, adorning my phone wallpaper. :)
and i really do love my custom-made ice kachang.
gula melaka, durian paste, and nothing but red beans.
heaven. :)
after dinner, we sat around chatting before going home at 11pm.
saturday was largely a school day, with chinese lesson in the morning and our elit seminar in the afternoon.
charlene brought us oreo cookies and milk...
yum!
the lit seminar ran really smoothly...
i mean, we actually kept surprisingly close to the schedule.
spot-on with the time slots. :)
and the presentations were mostly awesome.
went for the sunset mass with charm and chow in the evening...
and goodness, we do nothing but irritate each other.
:)
met tanny for prata afterwards, then the few of us sat at starbucks and caught up a little.
to digress a little, i must say i used to be a big fan of coffee bean...
but i think my palates are changing, cos i much prefer starbucks now.
with no particular reason why.
maybe because i love green more than purple.
okae, back to the point.
today was a relatively good day.
i feel so invigorated now...
like i wanna stand on the podium and proclaim God's word during mass.
oh gosh that came out sounding so cheesy.
but really, the lectors' meeting today was very motivational.
aunty celine went through the whole routine with me and this other girl, so now i am more aware of what i'm supposed to do. :)
but imagine how nerve-wrecking it's gonna be reading to a hall full of critically-minded church-goers who are not gonna be amused if someone decides to circumstantially mess up during the gospel reading.
plus, i might trip.
u won't believe how accident-proned i am.
my knee has a blotch of this blue-black bruise caused by the church pew during mass today.
seriously, how does one get hurt (much less bruised) by a cushioned kneeling pad?
that's the accidental karina for u.
anyway, the post-con members went for mass, afterwhich my dad took the family downtown for van helsing.
it wasn't too bad, except that i'm not a big fan of action-packed stuff so the movie didn't really appeal to me.
fantastic graphics though.
after the film, we had dinner at some chinese restaurant near farrer road before coming back home. :)
okae, i might be going on a hiatus (since my conscience is sending me on a guilt trip down the road of study-karina-study) and post stuff only during the weekends.
although if ever i should write a post, it'll only be because it's something extremely important and so i just have to significantly record it down for my own future reference. :)
that was just a little disclaimer on my part.
to end off, i just wanna say that i'm so glad st nicks decided to do away with the mid yrs.
it helps, really.

11:32 p.m.
the oc just ended!
i love. :)
yesterday was awesome because i got to skip math lesson. :)
the art girls were on our last excursion...
i'll definitely miss those outings.
and our olio dome lunches.
anyhow, we went to acs(i) on a tour of their artworks.
our d&t workshop and art rooms are way bigger and so much cleaner than theirs...
but they've got great artifacts.
and their paintings and drawings are superb.
so realistic!
we were taken around by a mrs sharon woon...
and she's really quite a character. :)
very strict, but also humourous in every sense of the word.
she's witty and dramatic...
very interesting lady. :)
after lunch in the school (yummy noodles), mr foo dropped us at the buona vista station whereby we took a train down to orchard.
valen, pathatai, louisa, deborah, cheryl and i took loads of neocards. :)
that was fun, posing around.
haha.
after some shopping, we made our way home and i got back just after dark.
today!
gosh, thursdays always seem so slack.
except that our napfa was in the afternoon so it wasn't exactly relaxing.
mitch, sab, sarah and i took a photo at the booth during the parents alumni fair.
nice.
after school, charm, chow, jan and i went down to serangoon gardens for a quick lunch.
after a terrible meal at cafe cartel (the service sucks), we walked toward the bus stop and saw that there were people eating in chomp chomp.
so we went in to take a look around and...
ended up eating a whole lot of desserts. :)
chengdol, ice kachang, and sago.
anyway, we found this perfect little corner beside the yummy dessert stall where we can eat and play bridge.
magnifico!
i definitely wanna try the hokkien mee next time i go there. :)
ahhh...
my stomach's growling again.
