10:48 p.m.
050505, today's date!
just realised that while writing the date on my lit notes.
anyhoo, jo, vonn, val, cheryl, weiyan, sheena, caroline, sangita and i went down to the grandstand this afternoon to support jo's boyfriend in soccer.
what bad weather...
there were so many streaks of lightning (that weren't always followed by bolts of thunder) so we were all very jittery little girls.
haha.
i had 2 scoops of häagen dazs on a cone earlier on.
belgian chocolate + tiramisu
doesn't get any better than that.

09:08 p.m.
just got home from serangoon gardens where i had dinner with chow, charm and tanny.
stuffed with dessert now.
note to self: favourite hokkien mee stall does not open on wednesdays.
keep in mind.
speaking of which, mr lim smsed me 3 different reminders today (IN CAPS LOCK TO BOOT).
i owe him my pi draft (pw, the bane of my life), acknowledgement slip and giro form (which i didn't even know he gave out).
i think he really doesn't have messaging etiquette.
okay, got to get down to work.
bummer, really.

10:37 p.m.
during the 2.5 hours of break today (the one between gp and geog), about 10 of us went down to the psa building for o'briens sandwiches and starbucks coffee (rhumba frappucino, my love).
we talked about impressions made when we first met each other and come to think of it, the initial perception i had of my classmates is starkly different from the one i have now.
i'm glad things turned out this way.
o5a21! 05a21!
and to weiyan and malorie who won't be in school for the next couple of days, best of luck and clinch the gold with honours in your respective syf performances yes.
oh, and this has probably been mentioned many times over but daryl lim my civics tutor/geog lecturer had his shirt sticking out of his fly in quite a repulsive manner during tutorial last thursday.
sick.
after much sniggering on our part, he finally noticed the open fly and went out to zip it up.
i actually feel quite repulsed at the thought of my incomplete homework too.
sigh.
it's the arts subjects.
the essays have been sucking at my creative juices...
leaving my brain as a sour prune - dry, wrinkly and motionless.
terrible metaphor.

11:21 p.m.
"she can't fall for you, if you're not there to catch her."
-alex
for just that one episode, i preferred ryan to seth.
hoho.
i'm running a fever now (38.3°c) and feeling a bit woozy.
plus it's that time of the month.
i. need. endorphins.
but i snagged a fcuk dress and heels from on pedder today so whoopdeedoop!
going to grab some chocolate now. :)

12:39 a.m.
so i woke up this morning, stepped out of my room and saw the huge bouquet of pink lilies all nicely arranged in a glass vase.
of course that made me smile.
i mean, how else do you react to something so insanely pretty. :)
anyway, mega update ahead.
the past 2 days have been deliriously gladdening and i'm so happy things turned out the way they did.
it's like one of those shit-happens followed by luckily-it-did occurences.
well okay, on friday, i left school after our dismissal and went to o'briens sandwich bar for lunch with jiaying and wendy.
it's incredibly inconvenient to describe how we left the school but ask me!
i'll tell you in person!
anyhoo, we took a bus down to st nicks afterwards for the sports day and i can't believe i actually contemplated not going because that would have been the most stupid thing to do.
i knew i missed st nicks but i didn't think i'd missed it that much!
the colour scheme of the school building kinda scared me though...
it looked like some sort of circus tent.
but no matter, it still felt homely. :)
we saw so many old girls who came back (is this term uniquely st nicks', because i don't hear other schools using this in referrence to seniors) and i also finally met up with teachers like ms chua (i love her!)
took photos and stuff but i'm lazy to post them.
maybe one day.
oh, jan, charm, chow and swei gave me the bunch of my favourite lilies in school. :)
i was so overwhelmed.
there were 20 beautiful pink lilies bundled in soft tissue with other small flowers and ferns and i spent about 30 minutes worth of camera battery snapping at them from all angles.
and they also bought a huge, thick, rich, and awesome chocolate cake from sun moulin which was omg so so yummy.
thanks guys. :)
after sports day, we cabbed down to serangoon garden for supper at icecube.
chatted for quite a bit then left for home.
i think sometimes in life, we need a bit of conflict to realise how important certain people are.
and we always come out stronger (and closer) from the struggle.
tears are but a by-product.
haha, i love the bbc.
okay on to today, i met up with my former 1t03 classmates for a little meal at nydc.
it was nice seeing them after so long...
along with those other people we bumped into around town!
and i finally bought a pair of spectacles.
oh my my i've been searching since forever.
i'm going to collect them in about a week so watch out, they're going to be a semi-permanent fixture on my face. :)
degree-less specs are fun.
i can just imagine myself annoying the friends i love with my bespectacled eyes dancing in their faces.
hoho.
at 6.30pm, i took a train down to marina bay to meet my sa classmates.
the turnout was relatively good. :)
after much diversion, we finally settled at a steamboat place in marina south and ate our hearts out.
i was so darn full by the end of it all (mostly from the soup and numerous cans of justea) but we did have fun yes yes yes.
we took a great many photos too which i shall wait for the rest to upload. :)
i was quite drained both mentally and physically this whole night but hey, we're all looking forward to more class outings.
although maybe an air-conditioned place would be preferable.
mitchel wants to cook for us at his place one day.
i don't doubt his cooking skills...
he handled our steamboat well. :)
okay i have to be up for mass at holy spirit tomorrow so i'd better get to bed soon.
for now, i'm going to take a few micro shots of the pink lilies woohoo.
now those are truly worth eyecandy-hood.
i realise i'm gushing a lot in this entry and when i do, i give run-on sentences with the L word thrown around a lot.
but i really mean it when i say i love something and that's all that matters. :)
bye for now!

10:10 p.m.
so i was in the car this morning when glenn ong mentioned on class95 that saddam hussein was born today.
interesting.
i am 16 going on 17
i know that i'm naive
fellows i meet may tell me i'm sweet
and willingly i believe
i am 16 going on 17
innocent as a rose
bachelor dandies, drinker of brandies
what do i know of those?
totally unprepared am i
to face a world of men
timid and shy and scared am i
of things beyond my kin
i need someone older and wiser
telling me what to do
you are 17 going on 18
i'll depend on you. :)
just got home and i'm dead tired...
but there's still school and sports day at both st nicks and sajc tomorrow, so i guess i have to sleep early tonight (no more 3am bedtimes).
anyway, here's a big thank you to everyone who made my day so special. :)
for the snail mail, phonecalls (especially sarah's call from america and ginny+winnie's duet-birthday-singing on the phone), smses, hugs, handshakes, guestbook entries, notes, birthday cards and presents, and coming down to meet for dinner in town, i appreciate it all.
especially to my classmates for their heart-warming gifts (in 5 parts no less) and exuberant birthday-song-singing in the class/cafeteria...
ice cream treat coming up! :)
i really look forward to school because of you guys.
check out some class lovin' at weiyan, corinne and yvonne's webpages.
they've got quite a few photos up.
alright, i am off to water my new yellow-flower plant.
i promise to nurture it as best i can. :D
Wednesday, April 27, 2005
07:55 p.m.
jiaying just told me today that the chicken rice stall cooks its rice on saturdays only and merely heats it up the rest of the week.
omg.
never again am i eating their yellow chicken rice (yummy as it is).
ask for white rice.
Monday, April 25, 2005
10:00 p.m.
after mass yesterday, charm and i went shopping and i'm so happy with my purchases.
i really needed new clothes so...
yay.
tops and pants from baylene, trixilini and guess.
how extremely pointless this is.
what i'm online for now is to download economics lecture notes for tomorrow's data-response question test.
i think i might just fail.
those graphs look like spiderwebs to me.
but i do want to maintain my passing grade.
anyway, school today was a long and dreary one but i really love my class (and the breaks with them) so it's all good.
i really should stop stuffing myself every chance i get though.
was on a detox diet for all of 2 hours before i decided to go ahead and buy prata and pataya rice.
and stick biscuits and kinder bueno during the subsequent half-hour breaks.
okay enough about food.
we've been running 8 rounds (3.2km) every pe lesson so hopefully my timing will improve progressively. :)
geog lecture was so hilarious today because there were only 8 people in attendance.
the rest of the cohort came about 15 minutes later, much to mr lim's disapproval...
and i doubt anyone actually bothers about how he feels.
he does try though.
very hard.
but still, very much in vain.
i'm off for desperate housewives.
Saturday, April 23, 2005
11:32 p.m.
omg such flooding nostalgia.
i suddenly came across the 1t03 homework blog started by joseph during the first 3 months (it's very cold and matter-of-fact, like him) and an album of class photos by mich ye.
i miss them all.
i miss everything about the first 3 months, actually.
sigh.
it's a good thing i love my new 05A21 class too or i'd just die of over-missing i swear.
anyhoo, i ran for 30 minutes on the treadmill and covered a bit of my lecture notes with sab today.
but the sense of accomplishment is fading at a rate as fast as i am eating my favourite cadbury flake cake and marks&spencer chocolate viennese biscuits now.
mama mia.
here i go again.
my my.
how can i resist you.
apt to describe my chocolate cravings aye.

12:27 a.m.
okay just got home not long ago.
school is always exceptionally awesome on fridays because of the short timetable and the amount of free time available to us.
weiyan did a fantastic job with her council speech this morning so here's an early congrats on the post. :)
after class, us girls went down to the nydc at holland village with joanne to celebrate her 17th birthday.
we ate so much...
tsk tsk.
but you really can't go wrong with mudpie and pasta.
after the huge meal, we went round exploring the place before i left for orchard.
met up with my favourite girls - sabrina, michelle and tanessa, although tricia couldn't make it.
but nevermind, at least we caught up yesterday. :)
did some shopping today which i deserve after the many weeks of abstinence.
okay that's just an excuse but i'm quite happy with my new satchel and green belt all the same.
and i also dislike those flower slippers okay, mitch.
haha.
but i still really really really love that kate spade white clutch which is now sold out.
but that's okay.
i saw it coming.
this is what hesitation entails.
airheadedness aside, we settled at tonkichi for dinner (belle's recommendation) which was yummy and extremely filling.
then we settled at cineleisure for much laughter and catching up.
if only we had more time.
once sarah's back by the end of may, we'll all be together once again.
can't wait.
anyway i was thinking, maybe i should wake up late for school more often and skip civics (which is totally redundant because we end up chit chatting or doing last-minute homework) in order to be marked late and thereby sent for detention.
in that way, i'd be forced to study and complete my tutorial homework which is really what i need most right now at the rate i'm going.
i'm lagging behind in terms of homework...
all the result of procrastination.
anyhoo, i'd better go wash up now.
it's going to be a day of study and exercise at sab's tomorrow...
hopefully i'll have the discipline.
haha.
today has been an undoubtedly good one.
may the sun keep shining!
(omg i'm turning cheesy).
Thursday, April 21, 2005
9:14 p.m.
i went to school late today...
and by late, i mean entering-the-school-gates-at-2.45pm late.
immediately rushed up to the geography room and reported to mr lim, then dropped my gp essay into ms cher's pigeonhole and i was done.
that's basically what i went to school for.
to avoid being marked absent and also to hand in my homework.
sounds like a waste of time now, in recap.
anyhoo, i bumped into my classmates in the canteen.
seeing them makes me smile. :)
haha.
sat around with jiaying and her class for a while before cabbing down to vjc with wendy.
cj did awesome in the soccer match against vj with a 1-all draw.
we cheered for cj everytime they neared the goalpost!
afterwards, we hung around chatting before trish and i left for home together.
she updated me with all the vj happenings...
and i just realised that our schools are at opposite ends of the world.
tsk tsk.
anyway, i am beyond tired so i'll be off for now.
doritos rock.
Wednesday, April 20, 2005
10:29 p.m.
after school today, the few of us went to the tennis courts to watch sajc play against cjc.
wendy and i were secretly supporting cjc (and wow, the cj tennis coach has killer legs) but i think sa won more matches in the end.
the cj doubles pair with the indian guy was good though.
anyhoo, javier said the score for the rugby match against cj yesterday is 76-nil.
like omg freak out and die.
and i do love o'briens sandwiches.
they make you feel slightly better about yourself for partaking in a relatively healthier meal.
i'm trying to go for more wholesome foods now (like the chicken porridge today) and avoiding my favourite fried stuff.
i think the tailor had great foresight in selling me the slightly looser 66cm skirt.
because it's beginning to fit pretty well now.
bad, bad.
God bless the new pope. :)
Wednesday, April 20, 2005
12:10 a.m.
i slept from 7pm to 11pm today just so that i could stay up to write my gp essay. :)
which i am going to continue working on soon enough.
anyway school ended quite late today, afterwhich jo, mal, vonn, xiao wei (heehee) and i studied at the reading room for 2 solid hours.
i finally managed to copy the econs and geog notes that i didn't catch due to my sleeping during lecture so all's good.
:)
yes it's true, i'm still sleeping in class even in sa.
i remember my napping antics back in st nicks...
especially during chemistry or biology lesson, when i'd wake up to find louisa and tiff grinning at me from across the classroom after having taken unglam shots of me with their cameras.
haha.
and i'm still trying to find the time to complete my homework.
i have incomplete geog, chinese and econs tutorials that are currently put on hold.
such mundane tasks.
oh, and it was my first time watching a proper rugby game today.
i didn't quite catch the whole thing but i'm pretty sure sa won cj for today's match.
i still don't understand the rules of the game though.
on a more random note, i just found out about the starbucks and o'briens sandwich bar outside school today.
we walked there during our 2 hour break for drinks.
so now that's another lunch option. :)
by the way, i'm looking to sell my ipod (it's approximately 1 year old) so if there are any takers, i'd be more than happy to negotiate. :)
okay, i'm going back to my gp essay now.
it's a tutorial day tomorrow.
bummer.
Monday, April 18, 2005
10:22 p.m.
today was only our second pe lesson and we had to run 8 rounds - 3.2km.
i was so not prepared.
but it felt awesome after we were done. :)
anyhoo, sajc won acjc in the soccer match earlier on.
but i was more concerned with 3 ac soccer reserves who were jogging up and down the grass patch before the gallery.
not only were they running into the rain puddles and splashing water all over, they also obstructed our view, acted all-important while playing a fool with their drills, and most peeve-worthy of all, spat into the ground halfway through their feeble attempt at a warm-up.
i can't stand spitters, especially when it's gratuitous.
and they didn't even enter the field as players once so i don't know where their huge egos came from.
haha does that sound too harsh.
but of course i'm not dissing the school itself.
just those 3.
anyway, i'm going to try for an early night today.
was sleeping throughout chinese and pw lessons and i don't think i should anger my chinese teacher anymore.
she must hate me.
we were 20 minutes late for lesson due to the wrong venue (she couldn't contact me on my handphone because i forgot to bring it to school and so we all went to the wrong classroom; yes, sad but true, i'm her subject rep), she saw the pencil scribbles all over my workbook, caught me napping, and only yiqin and i didn't do our homework in the whole class.
she says i should set an example.
yupp, she definitely hates me.
oh, and i passed my first econs test which is a relief because i'm still quite hazy about the topics covered.
charm, i need ms ghiam asap!
okay, i'm off for desperate housewives.
"please don't mistake my anal retentiveness for actual affection."
you gotta love bree.
Sunday, April 17, 2005
09:54 p.m.
just got back.
i haven't been home much the past few days...
been meeting up with the people i most want to be with so that's always good.
and i'm really glad to have finally caught up with lynette again. :)
anyway, i'm looking forward to pe tomorrow because i really need the exercise.
haha.
and the discipline too.
random note: i ate 3 scoops of ice cream today...
among other things.
raspberry, strawberry and mocha choc.
yum.
Thursday, April 14, 2005
11:21 p.m.
thursdays are the loooongest.
i ate hokkien mee, fish burger, tissue prata, mango juice, tasty biscuits, hello panda and grilled fish spaghetti in school.
not counting dinner outside.
tsk.
ended at 5.15pm and sat at the gallery with weiyan and company in support of the soccer team.
the whole school was cheering from the bleachers...
and sajc won hcjc. :)
i've so much homework.
it's beginning to pile.
bummer.
but i can't wait for tomorrow.
massive catch-ups are always good.
Wednesday, April 13, 2005
10:43 p.m.
check out this game.
it doesn't take much to play and it's great fun befuddling others who don't get it just as yet. :)
the t'ang quartet performed in school today.
awesome stuff!
okay i'm off to work on economics now.
but i don't have the mood.
sigh.
Tuesday, April 12, 2005
10:53 p.m.
girls can wear jeans
and cut their hair short
wear shirts and boots
'cause it's ok to be a boy
but for a boy to look like a girl is degrading
'cause you think that being a girl is degrading
but secretly you'd love to know what it's like
wouldn't you
what it feels like for a girl
strong inside but you don't know it
good little girls they never show it
when you open up your mouth to speak
could you be a little weak
Monday, April 11, 2005
10:49 p.m.
okay we finally got our timetable for the term, and of particular mention is the fact that i end at 10.15am every friday.
let's hear a collective "wow".
that's even earlier than the recess time back in st nicks.
what makes it absurd is that we have to stone in school for another 2.5 hours after dismissal because the gates officially open at only 12.45pm everyday.
maybe i should introduce bridge to kill time.
anyway, joanne, genna, alex, yvonne, malorie and i went to breko's at holland village after school and yakkity yakked over lunch.
left for orchard afterwards to meet charm for a movie (my goodness, the pacifier is the most family-friendly film around) and some catching up. :)
plus a bit of shopping.
oh yes, i tried to stick to a more liquid and less starchy diet today (failing most tragically at breko's with my baked potato) due to the inevitable height and weight taking during pe tomorrow.
and i also tried jogging for a bit after coming home earlier on.
i ran down the lane at the neighbourhood park and attempted to make a few rounds, but i finally acknowledged my fear of the dark (and noisy creatures of the night hidden within the foilage) so i headed back home after just breaking a sweat.
when will i ever learn that keeping fit and losing weight is a long-term commitment.
tsk.
at least i have cca training this week.
which i am also fretting over because my stamina is currently non-existant.
oh my my.
tutorials begin tomorrow too.
tsk.
Sunday, April 10, 2005
10:27 p.m.
today's the ultimate feast day.
i had caesar salad, tomato soup, chocolate profiteroles and tiramisu cake at baker's inn then deep fried ebi and chicken breast tonkatsu at tonkichi for dinner.
just shoot me please.
but at least i actually sat myself down to properly study economics with belle, cheryl, wanyi and herng liang at coffeebean today so i do deserve to pig out yes.
i'm still quite bloated from dinner but there's a slice of chocolate cake from baker's inn (or actually bakerzin, but i prefer the old name) sitting in the fridge.
how now brown cow.
do i give in to my craving.
haha.
i should get help.
anyway, i met my ld junior in the washroom at church this morning and she told me the syf drama competition is tomorrow.
wowwie.
how time flies.
i still remember 2 years back when my ld seniors cried outside the drama studio after receiving our syf results.
hmmm.
let history not repeat itself please.
i love ms jeya too much to wanna see her sad.
Sunday, April 10, 2005
12:12 a.m.
right now, i'm suffering from a sickening sorethroat that i believe is directly due to the heaty (and therefore extremely delicious) food of our sa cafe.
my throat hurts when i swallow.
argh.
anyway, sab, mitch, trish, tanny and i went for the vjc musicfest concert last night and had a blast. :)
it was quite good, especially the black 5 dance group of indian michael jacksons.
they were mighty awesome.
after the concert, we headed over to mitch's place for some pizza hut supper and had quite a good sleep (at least relatively better than our 6am bedtime on usual sleepovers) that was disrupted by sab's whining in the morning.
haha.
such light-sleepers.
all of us got up at noon and went downtown to meet grace, swei, valen and dinah for mitch's birthday lunch at marche during which we gossiped for hours on end.
swei was hilarious with her stories of ac. :D
i want to see all the people who were mentioned.
haha.
and i do miss cj.
anyhoo, i'm looking forward to school on monday (except i dread the tutorials from tuesday onwards) so let's hope everything turns out for the better.
i must end this entry with a happy 17th birthday buddy! and that you have a fantastic year ahead. :)
i love you guys a lot.
big hug.
Thursday, April 7, 2005
11:41 p.m.
i finally visited the dentist today.
anyway, here's a fun quiz i picked up from denise.

10 dollars:

100 dollars:

wow, that was a whole lot of dreaming.
i feel like shopping right here right now.
swoon.

12:18 a.m.
so after yesterday's harrowing experience with sa's discipline commitee (43 j1s were late for school that morning and the teachers gave us all a thorough spot-check), i made it a point to be punctual today.
and i was on time for assembly!
anyhoo, lectures started only at 11.15am today so we played truth or truth, read our econs notes and othello storybooks, and started braiding each others hair.
we're such girls, seriously.
and malorie has wonderfully deft fingers.
she's really good at french braiding. :)
after dismissal, wendy and i made our way to orchard and i headed off to meet brandon and brendan...
just to catch up a bit.
we had uniforms in varying shades of blue and white - acjc, cjc, sajc.
interesting.
belle came down to meet me for an early dinner at baker's inn (caesar salad and chocolate profiteroles - my loves!) during which we yakkity yakked and filled each other in.
at least i'm now slightly more updated about the on-goings this side of town.
haha.
i missed talking to that girl so bad.
we must do this over and over again.
and though she manages to capture the most unglam shots of me, i still love her very much!
:D
after dinner, we took a bus down to meet tricia and cheryl at the cj bus stop before heading off to junction8 for more dinner.
everyone's settling into their jcs really well i suppose.
not as many brooding faces or major gripes to speak of.
i conclude that today is the day of bumping into the most random people because the whole world was in town...
mainly due to the fact that wednesday is cca day for most, i think.
either way, it was awesome seeing acquainted faces as i'm still learning to recognise those from sa.
and it was really comforting bumping into classmates like weiyan because she's become such a nice and familiar face to me. :)
okay, i'm skipping school tomorrow partly due to a dental appointment; the other reason being the fact that i have absolutely no lectures the whole day.
which makes attending school quite absurd since we'd do nothing but stone (and probably stuff ourselves with food in the cafe).
not good, not good at all.
i do hope daryl lim puts aside his detestable nature for one day and accepts our excuse letters.
there's a class outing tomorrow too. :)
alright, i'm off for now.
Tuesday, April 5, 2005
10:15 p.m.
okay i'm really serious this time.
i've been eating way too much.
too much for my own good.
the food at sajc is fantastic and we're a class of foodies so everyone enjoys eating.
a lot.
i'm going to pace myself tomorrow though, so that i'll have enough room for a nice dinner at baker's inn in the evening.
just today, i had chicken rice, apple orange juice, kinder bueno, chocolate cake, yami yoghurt, french fries and lots of sweets inbetween classes.
i just can't pass up chocolate.
think i'm gonna have to avoid the snack shop like a plague.
discipline.
speaking of which, we have an economics test next week.
like omg, freak out.
i vaguely remember belle and i being serial ponners of our beloved penguin tan's lectures and tutorials back in cj.
how now brown cow.
at least i have people like zara in my class who's an econs genius. :)
she gives us tuition in the cafe.
don't mess!
