today was all about frivolous fun:

# watched miami ink with my grandad
# ate grilled fish + waffles + icecream at gardens with charm
# checked out the new boutique and made friends
# walked out with a whitesuede dress, 2 tops, one pair of city shorts and a laptop bag (?!) - yay!!!
# watched paris, je t'aime and teared - i really really like the film

i'm sick, again!
aarrgghh...
everytime i wake up i have to blow my nose no matter whether there's anything to rid my nasal cavity of or not but in the past 3 weeks it's been this bloody mess of mucus everytime i sneeze and it's driving me crazy.
i doubt it's a nose bleed due to heatiness but more a rupture of some blood vessel somewhere back there.
bloody annoying either way (no pun intended).

okay i'll be leaving the house in a bit.

was just about to do another photo entry of the night safari when i decided that enough is enough - pictures can only say so much and i miss typing!
so here i go.

bought new track shoes this morning!
hopefully those pretty things will motivate me to get my ass off the couch because i've been going out and coming home to sleep, period.
this state of ennui yields no productivity whatsoever.

also, i'm staying home the rest of today just for my visa and uni applications.
i'm going mind-blowingly numb filling in all those forms;
i actually saved all my personal details on notepad so that i can copy and paste, and then i discovered that copying and pasting is in itself tiring.
it's raining now and i'm too lazy to close the windows - yes i'm very disappointed in my lazy self. :(

oh and i need to find some form of luggage that will be able to hold a month's worth of clothing and shoes.
the last long trip i had was to shanghai and i refuse to pack as little as i did back then (ie. semi-winter garb and we were at janice's resort where people don't really care what you wear) so yes, maybe i should start looking to buy new luggage.

i just checked my statcounter and saw 'carnegie mellon university' so that must've been you. :)
we'll be in new york from 25th (michelle) and 27th (me) may to 26th june so do come and meet us!
especially in the weekends 'cause i don't think we'll get to go out much in the school week (a lot of homework i heard).

friday's class dinner was at the singapore zoo!

cheryl and mal got hauled up to dance the tribal dance (HAHA) but the photos aren't with me;
bummer, it was hilarious.
8 of us sat around and caught up after that - i definitely miss school. :(

my body clock is so screwed it's not even funny.

wednesday night was mambo night;
after dinner at coffeeclub with the girls, we headed over to zouk but for some reason didn't dance all that much...
i had fun though. :)
back to sab's place at 4am where we talked until the sun came up.

woke up at 7pm on thursday and rushed down to thomson for dinner at tongshui.
left for bukit timah at midnight where mich, tanny, jansen and i gambled through the night right until the sun came up.
we went from mahjong to poker to inbetween to blackjack...hardcore.

also discovered that jansen is the most hilarious guy on earth (seriously tanny...) and by the end of the session i'd won 50 bucks in all!
finally the curse is broken.

today, got up at 6pm just in time for dinner with the family.
we're all so glad that they opened another peach garden restaurant and especially so because it's at thomson plaza - so close to home!
caught the history boys at the cathay afterwards and i liked it very much indeedy.
reached home not too long ago and i'm feeling quite annoyed right now.
i'm gonna need to make a phonecall.

tskkk, get it out of my system!

and i finally got to try newyork newyork on saturday with brandon and on sunday with weiyan;
it's not fantastic. :(




i went slightly crazy shopping at frontrow and syle:nordic on monday but i'm really happy with everything i bought!
one pair of nike sneaks, two flynow tops, apc newcure jeans, denimbirds jeans in ash rose and rodebjer heels.
:D
then janice, charmaine and i crossed annsiang road to wacha at no.14 for a japanese dinner and a looooong chat.
healthyyummyhealthyyummy...

by the way i'm getting addicted to trash tv like fashion house on starworld omg, it's really no wonder why my brain's degenerating...
but i don't care i'm too happy to care. :)

today was such a crazy errand-running day not to mention the unfortunate combination of the sun and me in my black outfit.
on a happier note, i finally went down to orchard road and purchased my ticket to new york.
also had a nice conversation with prema my travel agent;
she's a sweet old lady i made friends with back when i was working at the chocolate shop.

anyway she told me a lot about america and i've decided to follow up my trip in june with pictures and regular entries because she happens to visit this webpage (consider the fact that she's 50 over years old) and would like to know what i'm up to - i hope you aren't insulted yet prema. :)
that's very sweet and all but uploading photos is one of the things i dread most - that's why i always hotlink!

i'm getting quite worried about accommodation though.
parsons hasn't quite gotten back to us regarding the hostels and i'm not sure if there are many other people applying for summer school accommodation too...

that aside, peekvid's not very reliable i have to say.

what i really feel like doing right now is to decorate my own little apartment and fill it up with all kinds of lovely things.
fun, right?!
also, i think i'm going a bit kooky considering the fact that i've spent the past couple of hours trying to translate these interviews with my dictionary - click if you like reading fashion blogs because there are endless links under 'blogs preferes' from every participant of the questionnaire...
quite addictive.
