Tonight was a good night. My school had a Senior Awards night, so my mother, sister and friend came to see. I was actually dressed up in a dress that belonged to my sister, so that was okay.
I barely wear any dresses or dress up, so today I counted to be quite a special occasion.
The only problem was the award ceramony, it was very tedious, in the fact that it was sooo long and filled with the same people going up over and over again. So, here I was waiting and wondering why the heck I came to the ceramony.
Because for one thing, my school didn't tell anyone what awards they were getting, so I was thinking it would be either English or Social Studies. I had a feeling that the only award I was getting was going to be the library award that my school librarian, nominates every year.
I got that award and to my utter surprise. I got another award. The award was a scholarship in the form of a cheque of $101, so man was I really surprise...! Apparently the scholarship was from a Murrow guidence couselor that had died in 1997 and so this award was created.
Tommorrow, there is no school, so I'm going to stay home and on Friday, I'm going to go to my guidence couselor who was a friend of this deceased guidence couselor and ask him if he was the person that nominated me for the award. I'll then thank him...because this award is the first time I ever got money in my life and this is something that I'll always remember for the rest of my life....
I'll also go and thank the library for nominating me for the award. For as fast as graduating is drawing near. I'm graduating on June 20, 2002. I'm having an good feeling, that in my future career, I'll probably become a librarian... ;b
After the awards ceramony, my family and friend went to Pizzeria Uno-Chicago Bar and Grill for dinner. It was an okay meal. I had ordered steak with shrimp, so that was okay. The steak was a bit not to much of my liking, because it was too dry. However the best part was the mashed potatoes, they tasted great and the shrimp was good. Uno is an okay place of eatery, not the best, but okay...not like what my young computer teacher had recommended...he loves it, but I'm alright with the food.... I'm leaving off my day's events now... ^ ~
