I'm not sure if I want to kick my computer more or the fact that I have a lousy dial-up connection. And now this formatting text problem that my blog has! (grrrr)....ppl read and figure out what I'm saying in this entry...! >_<
On Friday I was planning to update my blog. I had such a long blog entry! I wanted to write in a entry where I would include an interesting conversation with Mina on AiM. I was about to put the blog up when I got kicked off line and then to top it all off, my computer froze. I was sooo pissed off that I just went to bed. It was after all 2:00 in the morning. Now that I feel up to the mood to work on my blog, I'm going to write some of what I wanted to say in my blog on Friday.
On Friday I had a pretty nice day, I went to the city, shopping at the bookstores, with Mina, Aya, Slimy and Neko. We met up with Kermit, so that was okay. I made three new purchases. Vol. 8 of Fruits Basket, Vol. 3 of Clover and a artbook that cost a $1.
The only thing, I didn't like was the fact that Slimy got to a good copy of Jane Eyre before me. I don't have the book, so I'm looking to buy a copy. When he got to the copy before me, I started to whack him. I was so not happy after he got that copy, that I'll have to wait for another time to get my own copy of Jane Eyre.
On Friday, Mina and I were discussing about the Friend's season finale where Rachel had her baby. I watched a bit of the finale and was disapointed, I had expected that Friends being a comedy would run the labor scene to be something like that Hugh Grant movie, Nine Months! Hmm... but I'm waiting for the series finale of Ally McBeal which is bound to make me cry. Because I really liked watching that series. It seems as if all the good series are ending. I don't watch much of them after a season or two, but I used to watch stuff like Roswell and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now those shows are ending. I mean there is X-Files that's ending...
Now going into movies, I want to go see the new Hugh Grant movie, About a Boy and the new Sandra Bullock movie, The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I'll probably not get to see it in the movie theaters, but that doesn't mean I don't get to say what movies I wnat to see. The other day when I was talking with my school librarian. He made some mentions of the current teenage movies and I didn't want to go see any of them. He mentioned Spider Man, which I'm thinking that I would wait until it comes out on video and Star Wars II. I've never seen the first one, so why should I go see the second one? I'm not at all interested in seeing Star Wars. Now, I'm not bashing the movie, the movie may be quite good, but I'm making my own opinions because I don't want to see movies that has a possible cult following.
I'm shuddering now, because two of the worst movies I could think of, has cult followings. I hated the movie, The Wizard of Oz and A Clockwork Orange..... >_<
Since, I'm on the topic of this criteria. I've got to say that I've recently finish watching the HK drama, The Trust of a Lifetime which in my opinion, the ending was okay. I'm thinking that there would be a sequel. If it's popular and there's a storyline, then TVB would definitly do a sequel. My mom also rented a new drama, Treasure Raiders, which I'm not sure I want to see. Seeing the first tape, I know that there might be a love triangle or square, plus the ending might not be what I would like. So I think I won't really watch the drama, I might watch the ending tho, just to see how the drama turns out. Hmmm...yesterday my mom just finished renting Meteor Garden for me, which I loved. The drama was just a bit corny in some scenes, but it's sooo romantic. Makes me want to see Hana Yori Dango again! I can't wait until the sequel comes out!!!!
Now to get off of my current Blog entry, I'm leaving people with a GTKY which I took from Victora P's blog:
1. How do you experience music?
By the ear... I let the music go, otherwise I just soak it up if it's an Italian opera.
-Do you experience different genres of music differently?
Nah... not really, however I have a bit of revulsion if it's a really bad song with a equally bad music video. ;b
-Are you ever compelled to dance?
Sometimes when the music's nice and it just makes me want to grab my laughing mother or unwilling sister.
2-Do you dream in color?
Somewhat...depends on the dream, because I have dreamed in black and white.
-Is there sound?
Nope...
-Other sensations?
Feelings of deja-vu...
-Are there places you often return to in your dreams, and if so, are they real places?
Yup....I dreamt of my family's church, schools I've been to and of train stations.
-If real places, do the dream real places look like their counterparts in reality?
Somewhat...some of the time, the places in my dreams have gapping pits or holes.
3. Did you go to college? Was it a formative experience for you, or not? Are you still in touch with college friends? How did college shape your world view?
I'm going to go to college this fall. I'm a senior in High school now, ask me these questions in a few more years...!
4. Have you ever considered graduate school? If so, why? If you've already been to graduate school, do you feel it helped or harmed you? In what ways? Why did you choose the specialty you chose?
I've still haven't taken college, so this question doesn't really fit me, altho, I'm planning to go for a Master's degree or maybe a PHD.
5. Have you moved great distances in your life, or always lived in the same area?
I've always lived in the same community that I've live in now. I moved once in my life, but that was to a different house in the same area.
-Do you live near any family members? How do you feel about that?
My cousins live in Queens....we're estranged, so I'm okay about that. Haven't seen them in about six years, but ahh well...
