sunday.march.09.2003|you gave me none and made me run

yesterday was such a long day! in the early afternoon, i drove my parents to the lodge in monterey for my aunt's birthday celebration. yup, it's right on the seventeen mile drive, right next to pebble beach. good food, good view, but too much wealth for my blood. we took a drive around because my mom wanted to get closer to the ocean and stuff, so i luckily survived driving through all of that.

in the evening, reisa and i headed off to frisco to get brainwashed! sputterdoll, the other left, mishap, and short round all played hella tight sets. very cool. there was this really irritating old man that kept howling during mishap's set. he was like a wolf howling at the moon. haha. then he started singing this one song gabe and i ended up knowing so we were kinda singing along. it was too funny. reisa and i ended up meeting with johnny at iguana's for some quesadillas. fun fun fun night.

friday.march.07.2003|tengo la nariz pequeña

this week has been crazy like a mofo. i think it's been one of the hardest weeks yet. not only was i working pretty much every other day the closing shift, but school was seriously kicking my ass. in math, i had the usual amount of tedious homework. fuck statistics. in english, i had to read a long ass chapter about some guy whose name means the sun in español. in addition to that, i had an hour to squeeze in a four page draft comparing and contrasting living in a small town versus living in a big city - from scratch. in criminal justice, i had to study harcore about the hierarchical structure and duties of the police department for a quiz. this would've been like any other quiz, but being a make-up quiz (meaning double points for me), i had to know my shit. then we come to sociology, which was worst of them all! i didn't even know about the cummulative four-chapter midterm we were to have on thursday! i found out on TUESDAY! how fucking crazy is that?! i hadn't touched the book since like the first day of class, nor have i even been GOING to the class. well, the morning of the exam, i crammed like hell. woke up early to learn about chapters one and two, and used the two hours between classes to study chapters three and four. crazy as it sounds, i think i did okay on the midterm... at least i think i did! *crosses fingers*

pretty good day. accomplished a bunch of things. woke up early (for me), dropped off some film at long's, went to get a frap at starbucks, ran into mekenna and kelly, washed every single inch of my car, picked up my paycheck, talked to my manager about my replacement for tomorrow, ate at fresh choice with my man, played the uke for him, watched some tv with alain (haven't seen him all week), ate dinner with my dad, helped him look for an e cell module for the corvette (no luck), and now i'm here FINALLY updating my page. whoo! what a day.

wednesday.march.05.2003|sooo sexy!

ohh man! all the ladies out there MUST buy the angels stretch lined demi bra from victoria's secret! they are so incredibly comfortable and they look freakin' hot! they aren't as pretty as the angels lace demi, i must say that. but anyway, i received the new 'volume driver' bra, and it's great. i'm loving every minute of this bra. ahhh... ohh yeah, i still want that starting line thong. damn, my underoos would be rockin' it hard - hardcore!

tuesday.march.04. 2003|oooh la la

hook it up, johnny!

monday.march.03.2003|back home... with my love!

the weekend came to an end, and i'm back home. sigh. i had lots of fun at the beach and in sunny 'ole san diego. here's a quick re-cap of the weekend...

::thursday::
left for oakland airport in the morning. luckily my dad and i didn't get lost on the way there! airport security had to check my hair and make sure there were no concealed weapons stuck in there! hahaha. slept on the plane for a bit. ate blue potato chips. mmm.. good stuff! arrived in long beach's SMALL ass airport. seriously, if you think oakland airport is hella small, look at long beach's. it's TINY. us nor cal kids have been spoiled with san jo's and frisco's airport. anyway, mio didn't abandon me at the airport. we had free parking too! mio took me to the campus, introduced me to some of her buddies, took me around the music area, then we headed off to hector's for some bomb ass lunch! fuck. if you like togo's, you will LOVE hector's. HELLA good food. we took the stuff back to her place, she gave me the grand tour, and then it was time for us to head to cerritos mall! mio witnessed me spill soda all over my shirt, including down my shirt. bleh. found my way around to the nearest bathroom, then shopped around the stores. before i could even get to the end of one side of the mall, mio called and said she didn't need to work! whoo hoO! so we shopped around a little bit. bought some pants for work and a dress for my cousin's wedding. visited the victoria's secret there. it's pretty big too. it seems like valley fair is much more spread out... so it looks bigger. eh. anyway, after that we headed off to the block! whoo hoo! willard met up with us there, and we shopped around and stuffs. we went back to long beach for the shindig happening that night at mio's. ohhh man, it was SO tight. i met a bunch of mio's buddies and stuff which was great. the asian boys stopped by also, so that was really awesome. especially since i haven't seen them in a while. i had tooo much to drink though because it hit me in the morning.

::friday::
had an interesting morning with the toilet bowl. mm hmm. my parents picked me up in long beach, after getting completely lost. then we all headed to san diego. found my cousin's place pretty easily. he has a really nice apartment in chula vista. wow. went to the church for wedding rehearsal, then to dinner with the entire wedding court and rest of the family. after stuffing ourselves like fatties, we headed to my uncle's house in mira mesa. wow. his house is TIGHT! it's sooooo big. i met my baby cousin for the first time and she's absolutely adorable. her name is genna, she's only two years but she's SO smart! i really don't know how to explain her intelligence, but yeah, she's pretty smart for her age.

::saturday::
ate breakfast at my uncle's house, then it was off to the wedding. the ceremony was short, but definetly sincere. my cousin sean's new wife, rosa, is really sweet. she's pretty too! the dresses, flowers, tuxes, church - EVERYTHING - was so nice! everything was simple, but nice. after the ceremony, it was time for the reception. went to the gigantic wyndam hotel downtown. ate a really good dinner, drank some champagne (hehehe, after i swore thursday night was my last night of alcohol), and danced with my newly wed cousin. went back to my uncle's house, dad and him watched the fight, while i took care of genna. mommy and my aunt had their "womanly" and "motherly" fun together, talking about life and whatnot.

::sunday::
woke up to a nice bowl of pho. my uncle took us to a vietnamese restaurant nearby his house. we drove to visit some relatives that live pretty nearby his house too. i guess they lived across the street from us in the philippines. my uncle also took us to see san diego state. geezus, the campus is HUGE! and it's pretty nearby my uncle's house. he's trying to convince me to stay with him and the family if i end up going to school there. i know my parents are considering it too. soon, it was time to hit the road. we almost took the wrong road home, which would've sucked major ass. we dropped by hanford to visit my mom's good buddy, lan. man, i think the last time i saw her was when i was fourteen or something. she's pretty funny because she's a typical vietnamese lady with a southern twang. she has grand kiddies already too! they're super cute too because they're mixed kiddies! awww... so cute!

and that leads me to today. visited my johnny early this morning and he took me to school because i wasn't able to fix my tire yet. (ohhh! and i didn't have gas either!) awww, his poor doggie was crying because she went through surgery last friday. poor mammies! hehe. my man picked me up, went to the bank, then went to the other bank to pay off the car. started dozing off when we got back to his house. as the boys practiced their set, along with mister ukelele gabe, i stayed upstairs with his parents. we talked about a bunch of stuff, especially his mommy and i. good stuff. i was really glad i saw johnny today. i've been missing him like crazy, especially during the wedding. sigh. it just makes me think about stuff... and no worries, kids, my johnny and i have already talked about this whole subject. i'm so happy right now that i can't find the words to describe HOW happy i am. it's an incredible feeling to be loving someone that loves you as much, or even more than that. i don't remember who was asking me today, but i remember telling someone that i'm happy and enjoying my life at this exact moment in time. of course there are things like school and my parents that turn the fairy tale to reality, but for the most part, i've learned to only think about the good things in life and really cherish them. i guess that's the new outlook i have on things. in the past, my glass has usually been half empty, but i think it's starting to fill up little by little. it's a start, but it's something.

yawn. and so ends my night.

thursday.february.27.2003|the weekend begins now!

that's right, i'm off to an exciting weekend in southern cali. i'm leaving for the oakland airport in an hour or so. then, i step foot in long beach after an hour in the plane! whoo hoo! mio already worked out a fun plan for today. i'm excited!! last night, both of us were so giddy on the phone - i felt like a little school girl! hehe. anyway, friday is pretty much being spent in long beach until the parentals make it down south. they're going to pick me up from long beach while on the way to san diego. i think we're having dinner with family friday night, which should be interesting. i seriously haven't seen my relatives in a long time. saturday is the wedding. hopefully we'll have some free time to run around town that evening. and sunday is when i come home. yippie!!

yesterday, i spent time with miss reisa. yup, we went to moonzoom's, as well as all around san jose. hehe, fun stuff. we went to her house to pick up the ukelele so i could start playing again, and her mommy ended up making me stay for a while so i could play guitar for her. hehehe. funny stuff.

spent time with the boy. it was great because we watched 'stay tuned' with john ritter. i don't know if any of you out there have seen it, but it's the one where he and his wife get sucked into the television. haha, of all the movies, reisa randomly guessed it when i said i watched a john ritter movie. hmm. johnny and i also ended up watching this weird infomercial of this guitar playing freak with long ass nails! crazy shit. it's reminds me of that movie with the karate kid and he's playing guitar. yup, 'crossroads'. the movie my brother so kindly told me the ending to, and i've never seen it or even heard of it before. geezus. great brother, eh? the best part of the night, though, was when we started watching perfect strangers! omg, it was soooo freakin hilarious! i miss that show. it was a good episode too! but alas, the night had to come to an end, and it was time to give my last goodbye kiss to my boyfriend. sigh.

~babe, i had the best time with you late last night. you're my movie and tv buddy! hehe. gosh, i'm going to miss you like crazy. take care and be good! by the time i get home, i'll be done (with you know what) so... hehe, something to look forward to! *wink wink* i love you!

monday.february.24.2003|corn hair???!!

apparently my mom says my hair is too lightly colored. she in fact says it's "corn hair." CORN HAIR?!?! what in the world is that?! don't ask me because i'm still trying to figure it out.

school went well if you minus the big run around i had to do during my break. it was pretty much my fault for lagging on the assignment. i seriously thought it was due wednesday, not today! so anyway, i had to go to the library, and wait for some enhancement instructor. after waiting for like two minutes, and only talking to her for 30 seconds, i talked to a librarian. ms. librarian said i was already registered and that i didn't even need to see her. i went to the nearest computer and tried to finish up this research project thing. i swear, i've never been so confused as i was with this stupid program. then, the more confusing part was figuring out how to print. i learned i needed a one dollar bill for this card i needed to print, but i only had a five. the library is conveniently located out in the boondocks, far away from where i could get change. i hauled my ass all the way over to the bookstore, bought a soda, and got my one dollar. i bought a card, printed the stuff, then realized i needed a computer with a word processor to write up some evaluations. i went back to the enhancement area, and tried to log in to the computer lab there. the guy scanned my id, and realized i'm not registered to be there, nor did i pay the fee where i could have unlimited use to the lab. he told me that i pay five dollars at the bookstore and be enrolled in the lab. fcuk! yup, so as desperate as i was to get this stupid assignment finished, i trekked all the way back to the bookstore, paid five freakin dollars, and headed back to the computer lab. ironically, i ran into my english teacher on my six millionith time back to the library. hehe, little did she know i was rushing around trying to finish an assignment for HER class. anyway, i got back, filled out some paperwork, and finally sat my tired ass down at the comptuer and finished up the assignment minutes before my 12:30pm english class. the shittiest thing is that if i would've bought that card from the bookstore before i did anything else, i wouldn't have gone through the whole process of the one dollar copy card. ahh well... college is all about experiences, right?

i guess it's no wonder why i fell asleep at johnny's house. we went with his mom to the bank and then to costco. i started watching 'the godfather' and i guess i started dozing off. johnny's daddy was making fun of me because i guess i started snoring! haha. whoops! *snicker snicker*

anyway, you all should check this out:
The Other Left

saturday.february.22.2003|if i stop breathing, keep your arms around me

tired. work at ten in the am. i expanded the sale like a mutha fcuka! one customer actually bought three or four bra & panty sets from body by victoria. that's more than $150 altogether! heck yeah!

headed home. went to k-mart with mommy. ohh man. that place is janky to the max! eck! i felt dirty just being in there! it was scary too because i was looking for a parking spot, and my mom found one. but right around that same area, there was this crazy man walking around all creepy. he was in the more desolate area of the parking lot. you know, where all the pigeons hang out! haha. so we parked a little closer to the majority of the population.

after that, i headed to nga's party. crazy stuff because by the time i got there, she was so faded. haha it was only around six o'clock. firme and the other left played in the backyard, which rocked the party pretty hard. i think lotsa people were just way too drunk or high to even know what the heck was going on. i was talking to erik, the drummer for firme, and i complimented him on a tight show. he double checked to make sure i was sober, and was pretty happy that someone that wasn't all fucked up really liked their set! haha. i, surprisingly, stayed very sober, enjoying my bottle of water and slices of cheese. whoo hoo! by the time johnny and i left, nga was gone. hehe. i'd like to see how she's going to feel in the morning! *snicker snicker*

went to johnny's house after. to our surprise, his nephew was over!! awwww... he is WAY too cute! he even scooted all close to me when johnny got up from his spot next to me. hehe. and he gave me a besito!!!

thursday.february.20.2003|everyone i know wants to be a star.

haven't really had the time to update this daily as i have in the past. school is really keeping me busy. i feel a little bad because i've made it a habit of not really going to my sociology class. oh my lord, it's SO boring. i like the professor's random humor, and he's also a human sexuality teacher, so he throws in a bunch of sexually related stuff which probably keeps all of us awake... but as for the way he runs class - complete boredom. i'm really not understanding how he wants these portfolio type things. and we also need to tie in "The Gods Must Be Crazy" into every chapter of our sociology book. bleh. i just need to motivate myself more to go to class. fuck, i'm paying, so i should really make use of that money, right?? right on, sistah!

went to evergreen valley today to watch The Other Left play. it was pretty tight! they were in the middle of this huge grass area, with tables for people to sit at as they watched the boys rock out. i made my way there, and chilled with evan, ryan, and that one chick whose name i totally forgot (the hot topic girl). then i realized that i needed to get a parking permit because i know the last time i didn't want to pay, i was fined almost sixty bones. so i ran my ass all the way back to the parking lot and bought a day permit. damn, i haven't ran like that since i was in track! haha. after the show, all the guys decided to meet up at red robin for some grub. i decided that it was probably going to be the same boring lecture we always have in sociology, so i went to eat with the boys instead. tsk tsk.

that reminds me, i need to let my sociology professor know i won't be in class again next thursday. ugh. i wish he would put the lecture stuff online so everyone has access to it. but then if he did, maybe no one would go! hmm...oh well. i have a valid excuse this time. yup! that's right, folks, i'm on my way to long beach to stay with the magnificent mio cat!! then in a day or so, i'm making my way down to san diego for my cousin sean's wedding. whoo hoO! i'm excited because i haven't really seen sean or my other relatives from that family in the longest time. i probably saw sean's parents when i was fourteen. my family made a stop at my uncle benny's house in hanford - yup, that's uncle benny with the chickens and roosters in his backyard! miranda was so fortunate to experience that whole deal. haha. but man, i haven't seen my cousins since i was about ten or eleven, or maybe even younger. they both moved down to san diego, and are still there, livin' pretty good lives i assume.

that reminds me of something my johnny and i were talking about in the car. he asked me if my parents were to financially take care of everything, would i have a baby at this exact moment in time if they asked me to. my response stays between johnny and myself, but i started thinking that it's a huge possibility that i would probably reproduce before either of my brothers. i was sure abel would be the first to grant my parents their first grandchild, but by the way things are going with him and his 'lady', the future isn't looking so fortunate. i think if anything, i would definetly have children and be moved out of the house and on my own before alain. sad to say, but i think he's gonna be living at home for a LONG time. i feel bad for the guy, though. he had a good thing going and i could tell he was really happy, but it just wasn't meant to be. he was left with a broken heart that's still mending as you read this entry. i guess it's good that he's gone back to school, and he's succeeding in the career he has now. i watched 'back to the future' with johnny yesterday, and we started part two today... and it's made me think about what the future has in store for me. it makes me wonder about the man i'll end up with, my children, the way i'm going to look, what my house will be like, how the rest of the world is going to look, my career, and if i'll be happy with the way my life has turned out. sigh. i'm sure everyone wonders about these kind of things. hmm... i'll try going 88 mph tomorrow and we'll see if i go back into time, or even into the future.

sunday.february.16.2003|okie dokie artichokie

despite the fact that i've been continuously late for work every single day i've worked throughout the week, and have been coming home late pretty much every night to a nice, big fat lecture from my parents, i've been doing swell! in fact today was such a good day. had pho in the morning with my family, which doesn't happen very often anymore. all of us have been so busy: dad is getting more and more tired as every day of work passes; mom - well i don't really know what my mom does. i just know she doesn't work; alain has school on the weekends in frisco; abel moved out into his own place and own world; and i've entered the wonderful world of having a job. i rushed to work, sold two credit cards - one being the first of the day (whoo!), worked an hour overtime, and helped HELLA people. i was excited because johnny came to visit me! i'm always excited to see my johnny!

after work, i debated whether or not i should go straight home, or head to a show at the gaslighter. i ended up going to the show, but the two of us were going to leave early. when we pulled into the parking lot, we found out two other bands pulled out for the night, and there was a space for two bands to fill in. johnny called up the boys, and BAM! instant show! the other two went to johnny's to get the equipment and bring it to campbell. through much confusion and excitement, benny and sammy ended up breaking into johnny's basement, and i had to drive johnny's car to his house... and i grabbed two right shoes, instead of one right one and one left one. haha. it's not my fault. grabbed some food for the samster and myself, then headed back to the gaslighter. the show was pretty tight. i had fun! but of course! i was with my babe! *snicker snicker*

friday.february.14.2003|valentine shmalentine.

the whole deal with valentine's day is quite overrated in my eyes. i think it's sad to see that some people, actually more than we think, take ONE day out of three hundred sixty-five other days, and designate that a day to show love. honestly, if you really love a person, you would show that person every single day how strong that feeling is. and i don't mean just saying a simple 'i love you.' i mean, really letting them know how much you appreciate them and how much you care.

i guess a lot of this pessimitic attitude came from the whole last minute rush at work. arriving late today, i noticed i really wasn't missing anything too important. just a bunch of clueless guys roaming around confused, a few awkward fellas here and there, and a handful of ladies trying to pick something to wear in between the period of tonight's dinner and tomorrow morning. i was unfortunate enough to run into degrading males that think in this perspective: "ohh it doesn't really matter what i get my lady, it's just going to come off anyway." ugh. utterly disgusting. even if it's the truth, some of us in this world would rather not care to hear about that kind of stuff. anyway, i couldn't get from one side of the store to the other side without being stopped by everyone in my path. i was so glad they moved me to relieve someone in the fitting rooms a few hours before i was off.

johnny stopped in to say hello, and i was really surprised he bought something from the store by himself! it wasn't for me, of course! it was for his other girlfriend - duh. hehehe. one of the managers that i normally don't get along with was SUPER friendly today, and she was interested in the fact that i have such a "nice boyfriend" (her exact words). she kept asking about what plans we had for tonight and all the relationship. funny stuff.

after work, i headed to johnny's and went to dinner with him, his mommy, and his aunt. it was really fun. we saw these cute little girls that were sisters. awww... SO cute! then johnny's aunt started listening in on this weird lady's conversation. it was just really funny because i've never seen someone so involved in a conversation that wasn't her own. johnny and i headed back to his house after dinner, and we settled in for a fun night of television. watched a little bit of everything. see, it's simple things like spending time with the one you love that really makes valentine's day meaningful. johnny went with me to get gas for my car because i was scared to go by myself, and we had fun just doing that! i don't know... i guess i'm just a very simple girl that doesn't take much to please. for once in the eighteen years i've been on this planet, i finally had a valentine that meant everything to me and made me happy on a day i dread with a passion.

~johnny, thank you so much for today. i had the best time with you, as always. thanks for the bucket full of candy! whoo hoo! a million cavities in my mouth thanks to my honey. happy valentine's day, my poo poo head. i love you so much!!!
