cold or flu?
which do i have? i think i am more in the flu category, but it's hard to tell. if this were not my last day at this job i would not be here right now. i would be at home in bed, snoozing and reading. i guess that's the plan for tomorrow, then!

thoughts on an aaron sorkin-less "west wing," which i really hate to think about. it's such a smart, lyrical show (make fun of me if you must) and i think that will be lost when he leaves, as this writer seems to think too. i guess only time will tell.

white teeth on pbs
last night i felt very fancy indeed watching "masterpiece theater" on pbs. they are doing a very good job with the adaptation of "white teeth" by zadie smith.

working lunch
one of the good things about publishing is that one tends to get good lunches that one does not have to pay for. today i confab with a worker at my future employer, over a foie gras club sandwich perhaps. healthy diet be damned!

what my boyfriend does to earn his paycheck. i am so proud. yay animals!

the best part of the story--for even people who care not for the beatles--are the last two paragraphs. they make me smile.

ireland
the plane tickets have been purchased. i am now officially looking forward to going back to ireland this summer.
