Thursday, March 6, 2008, 04:03 p.m. Angel in jeans and a sexy top My darling Cherie accompanied me for lunch (peeled the duck meat off its bones for me), our lousy attempt at changing tutorial times ("incredibly overfull") and the last: sitting out the waiting-for-doctor time with me while we indulged in gossip mags (skipping lecture) (: She's the sweetest <3 P/s: I am bizarrely in love with Honeycomb Crunch from Woolworth's (HAHA). It. Is. So. Good. Pp/s: Horrifyingly, the glitter lava lamp my lovely friends gave me for my birthday last year has somehow turned from a nice slight PINK TO deep PURPLE?! If I haven't complained about my snail-like reading abilities, then you shouldn't. Also, I conclude that my vocabulary has become minimal to the extent of retarded. Which will hopefully be more fruitful than my past two days :P Dinner at home adding Lyn and Ning and my brother's friends. Good Luck Chuck the movie after! Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 10:55 p.m. i know i'll find deep inside me My boyfriend just woke up after a coma of approximately 60+hours due to a car accident. Never have I felt this dastardly pessimistic towards the future and experienced such loss and helplessness. While trying quite desperately to keep it all in. The cold gray skies are clearing. Warm sun rays fill the air touching my skin.
Thanks to Germaine and Jan for the company and Cherie, Lyn, Ning for well wishing :D Haha, needless to say the rest of the night was spent talking and no work was done. I'm not exactly complaining. CHERIE: I'm so very touched :'( luckily you and Lyn are on my side. Really. HAHA :D You are very welcome for the KING size Cherry Ripe (Ning said "Again?!"), anytime! Oh, you haven't met the empress of photoshop Lim Si Ping. Heh. I love you too, dearly [: (That's why I can't let anyone steal you away! Haha.) Dee: Haha, I don't remember at all. So now, you can join too! If you want of course (: UPDATE ! The sweetest friends one could make in a foreign land, ![]() I always wondered what life would be like if I went to CJC instead of Trinity College. Convinced myself that things would be much more fun unlike the mundane routine I have now. However, with friends as such. I am contented with my decision as they leave me with no regrets. xoxo Thursday, October 11, 2007, 07:25 p.m. but you cannot stop the rhythm of two hearts in love to stay The mum is here. Thursday, September 27, 2007, 08:53 p.m. all wrong all wrong This last week of the holidays, hasn't exactly been fruitful to say the least. Thanks to Haoming downloading DS Lite games for me (yes Joe, Ratatouille; Super Mario; Cake Mania; Cooking Mama; Diner Dash; Spongebob; Pirates; Mario Kart; Bomberman [in the process) etc.) I have been absolutely bewitched and captivated by the wonders of handheld gaming! Equals, not doing much work related to my upcoming two assignments. Bleahh. Anyway anyway, Joette Chiew. Red is nice what, Red is supposedly limited edition what, Red is cool :D Or you know I would have gotten baby pink. It's time I made alternative statements. Also, our newfound lurrve for group fitness at Melb Uni Sports. For example, Yoga; Pilates; Body Balance(!); Body Pump; Tai Box; CXT; Body Combat etc. No, seriously. We have been steadfastly attending sessions, pushing my body fats to the bare borderline. Hurr hurr. As Haoming says, Imma budding health junkie. Let's hope this keeps up throughout the semester! And, cutting down on Bubble Tea would be good. Monday, September 24, 2007, 09:20 p.m. i can hardly breathe ![]() My brother surprised me with this cake at 2am while I was playing my DS Lite after watching Phantom of the Opera (which was fantabulous), (: That was the start of my birthday. Spent the rest of the day rotting, like Cristian (Haha!) My face was terribly red, swelled and itchy after I bathed, rahh. Then, we were set to meet at 6 my place for dinner in Chinatown. Cherie, Ning, Lyn, Adi, Germaine, Shashi and Xiqi surprised me with another cake and presents! :D (No pictures were taken due to my hideous inflammation, hah) Present to myself!! Well, sorta. I spent ten days with Haoming, almost killing him with my random tantrums of stress because of the QM test and Psych assignment (which I did terribly for)! Albeit, the time spent was well worth the monetary value, opportunity cost and whatever beeg words capable of expressing how much fun I had. His wonderful surprise of spending twelve days in Melbourne instead of five! :D Including buying another ticket to go Gold Coast with us for one day! He won chocolates from this! every single day Headline News!
![]() It was reported that a grey Hyundai Sonata was seen parked along the curb at the entrance of the Eastern Freeway facing Clifton Hill. The owner El was giving a driving lesson as per usual when the car stalled, for no apparent reason at 12pm today. Minutes before the incident, El was preparing his student to go on the freeway. However, "More gas! Step on the accelerator!" and "I AM! Unless I am stepping on the brakes? NO, I am stepping on the accelerator!" were heard last before the car decelerated on the lane approaching the highway. *Special Commendation for the absolute kind soul who stopped to help poor El, stuck with the possibly bimbotic car-idiot, push the car to a side. Both spent an hour wondering why the car stalled. El made two trips to the nearest petrol kiosk to buy oil and petrol. After countless tries and aimless assumptions whilst waiting for the RACV mechanic, Leo sat in the passenger seat and El tried to start the car again. Miraculously, the car started and the engine did not die. The answer we think is, there was no petrol in the car but the needle was spoilt thus causing the misunderstanding. HAHAHAHA! eh, it has nothing to do with me whatsoever okay! i am the victim, i spent an hour in the car.. looking rather embarrassed. hurr hurr. ah well, he's still gonna charge me for the first HALFhour i drove adding it to our next 1hr lesson = 1 + 1/2 hours. and, the sushi shop Plush Fish in Union House gave me the wrong change! steal my forty cents and i was too chicken to walk back and ask for it. because i realised after leaving the shop! bahhhhh >:| i feel so shortchanged and sound so cheap-o. hahaha. what an experience. what a start to the week. plus, i know i've gained weight.. that sucks big time )): i'll be missing you i need to seek solace, will you be the one that saves me? WHAT THE. :O Horoscope: Being forgetful can sometimes be a blessing -- remember that the next time you're in a rush and you can't find your house keys or sunglasses. The same brain that makes you forget where you put something also lets you forget about hurtful episodes from your life -- eventually. The pain or sorrow you've felt recently is fading slowly, but it's fading surely. Have faith that the worst is behind you, because it is. Keep moving forward, and leave the past behind. wow, amazing how vagueness can apply to people easily. horoscope addict, i am. and, the very very very smart mel after much procrastinating has finally, PUT UP HALOSCAN FOR COMMENTS!! :D the link's at the bottom for those whose screen cant view my page properly. but still, with me telling you this.. you still cant comment cos you cant see the link! hahaha, but now you know (; so today i booked my hazard perception test.. hope i'll get to book the driver's test before midjune. or else, ): had a full brunch! bleahh. then cherie, ning and i walked here and there till by the time we reached Myers i was deadbeat. we walked a lot! plus i had an average of 5hrs sleep in five days, hahahah! i fell asleep on the sofa in the departmental store, :p then had a lil' retail therapy, sinful. ): i feel godawful for spending money luh. nvm nvm, i'll save money after tomorrow (we're going for an all-you-can-eat korean/japanese buffet !). pancake parlour: game of chess with ning was a DRAW! haha. pancake mozerella; IT pancake; chocolate cherry jubilee AWESOME! :D goodnight ya'll. Tuesday, April 24, 2007, 08:06 p.m. cause even when i dream of you i've always wondered. people keep online blogs/journals/diaries for? is it a way to share their lives with their friends? 'pen' down their thoughts? gain attention (which is dependably hard to gauge)? but i guess, it is a combination of all except maybe the last. well sorta. since ultimately you are putting at least a part of yourself out there through this link. but i've always found it relatively difficult to really express how i feel in this cyberspace. i mean, its good that my friends read so in a way it is updating (since i am far away). but when you feel down and out, and need an outlet.. this isnt exactly ideal. it would just seem so.. emo. haha, that word's overrated. anyway, the fine line between expressing your feelings, anger+spite and being straightforward is blurred and so subjective. bahh, my thoughts are so jumbled up. no matter, couldnt care less. random picture from the classics: "I'm just a girl with a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear! Staying back another year was never easy, especially being the only one from the level. Speaking for itself this feeling of being incapable and inferior is awful, which is not something anyone will understand thoroughly. Having to make new friends, to learn things over and have people think it's gonna be easy since I'm repeating the subjects. Doing it again without hardwork, doesn't necessarily equate to excellent results. It's diligent work, obviously. I remember my classmate asked "How did you do?" and upon knowing I did relatively well. She burst my bubble saying "Oh, that's cause you do before right?" When people doubt my abilities, maybe to make themselves feel better because they fared worse.. I start to judge myself and wonder if what they say is true. I start to think, why my peers can cope with the normal route but not me. Negative thoughts fill my head. I managed to prove I could beat the education system, not ideally but satisfactorily. Then, to catch up with people of my age I left for Melbourne. Again, people think I'm taking the easy way out. Why? Because it's supposedly "easier, more laid back" here. Well, let me tell you. The foundation year wasn't as easy as everyone thought it'd be (from my previous rants). We slogged and worked to get the results worthy to compete with the locals. Mind you, they are really smart which is why Melbourne Uni is considered prestigious. Just attend one tutorial here and you'll be impressed with them. Although Uni is daunting, I have to admit it is more slack as compared to College. Then I start to think, is it because we're paying hell loads more than them it doesn't quite matter that we worked for that place? Because, that's how everyone judges me. There are people who are much richer, but did not meet the prerequisite scores to get in and are now studying elsewhere. So, in the end it doesn't matter whether i did pore over books and more books to complete the essays, tear bundles of hair out practising, review the lecture notes, stress myself out madly and study. [Yes, there is the rare case of groups who party lots and still mangage to do well (but I'm talking about myself here? typical not-so-smart nerd).] People still think I took the easy way out. I haven't mentioned the loneliness and independence thrown upon me, indirectly forcing me to 'grow up' faster. Until you can truly "put yourself in my shoes" then are you fit to voice one remark about me or what I'm going through. Which is never. Should I care about what those people think? And what if it is how my friends feel towards me all this while. You may think I'm overgeneralising here, but face it. You feel that way too. Monday, April 9, 2007, 09:11 p.m. i think i could like you thank you ele for the intro to the song How to Touch a Girl by Jojo. i have a few nice songs to intro to you, intro-ed to me by cherie! srsly, good :D oddly enough, i've been living my world in silence these past three days. my songs are on pause; my teevee's muted; my phone's on silent w/o vibrations; my msn status is Away so lesser (which normally there's none) ppl talk to me and i've not left the house (except to buy chocolatemilk and -GASP! to exercise trying to lose weight) at all. also, i agree with ping (if you're reading, i read your livejournal haha). i brainstorm/reflect/think (a different kind from hers) best before i sleep.. which causes me to be deprived of sleep sometimes. cos i wont be able to get to sleep. okay, will be back to touchup on this roughly crappy entry. :D Friday, April 6, 2007, 09:36 p.m. feelings can grow but it has been a FANTASTIC end to the midsemester! SRSLY. heh ((: thursday ![]() cherie, ning and i went to watch Miss Saigon at Her Majesty's Theatre. the spendthrifts in us bought the reserve A tickets, 0?! and, we were seated on the third level.. cant quite see the actors' faces and there was this guy's head constantly blocking my view of the stage?! bahh. but i thought the story was not too bad, for a tragic ending with a very good developing plot combined with theatrical excellence (of moving props and how the scenes unfold, flawless). [secretly, trying to find the play reviewer in me] hahaha, and the lead actress CAN SING! the lead actor has a hot bod! so, im quite satisfied (: today after about one year of nagging, procrastinating and what else. im finally learning to drive!! :D :D :D, scary too. ning and i had our VERY FIRST MANUAL DRIVING LESSON!!! :S hahaha, i was... not terrible. but, errr.. alright. hahah, and just maybe we'll be able to get our licenses before july! watch out sgp, heh. embarrassment: my hand leg coordination isnt superb, i kept stepping on the clutch. AWESOME!! srsly funky. it was hilarious at most parts, where audiences shout out different scenarios and occupations or whatnot! the actors are exceptional and eloquent, they think on their feet literally with cute puppets on their arms. they can also sing and rap, any style even REGGAE! hurr hurr. a first for everything :D p/s: i updated the previous entry already. have a good easter ya'll. here comes the edit: This may contradict the emotions expressed above, just don't bother if you actually do care. if you call me today Horoscope:No matter what types of negative feelings you have for another person, today you will have to do some forgiving and forgetting -- at least temporarily. In order for something important to happen, you're going to have to be the bigger person. Take a broad view of the situation today. Act altruistically (even if other people will not appreciate your efforts). Soon enough, you will be rewarded for this. Saturday, March 10, 2007, 02:58 p.m. well, you hit where it hurt another update, another treat. heh (; i realised i didnt pitas much about my summer holiday '06 to '07. i was basically quite disappointed with my, erm.. friends (if you can call them that). the conceited me, feels that if you say you miss me (blahblah) then you should bloody well make time to meet me. instead of coming up with excuses, reasons and whatshit. like, DUH? makes sense? yes no? anyway, at least i got to meet up with some friends. then after once, or twice.. no more. yeahh, rightttt. okayy, anyway. one more thing is, NOBODY gave me a birthday gift!? wtf. i sound really materialistic, but hey. i spent effort in sending gifts back, the arrogant shit in me thinks i deserve better than NOTHING. yeah, all applicable. the greatest would be.. STEPH! she brought me a snowwhite&sevendwarfs snowglobe (though i dont quite like snowwhite) all the way from the states?!?! thank you dear, i appreciate it very very much! (: i guess, to me its the thought and the gift that's important! hah. all you had to do was call, but i guess it may just be too late already. out of sight, out of mind. ![]() you, you knew what you were doing to me yay, im updating a relatively looonng entry. there, stop hassling.. hahaha. erm, i dont know what to pitas about.. basically, life is the pits. alright, nearly. - no $$ (okay, trying to spend a lot less cos there's a lackthereof) - assignments starting to come in (uni life, not good) - melb is still as boring (esp with no $$) - dilemma on whether or not to take a double degree (five years versus three) RAHHHH! >:| yepp, that's it. im taking microecons, accounting, psych and anthropology this semester. considering doing summer semester subject, to shorten my time (yes, like prison) here. but that equates to me leaving sgp in jan.. and as SUMMER semester suggests. its gonna be FREAKING HOT in melb. we'll see, take a step at a time for now. ): and lack of money, means im considering on whether i should get the texts for my subjects. means, i actually go to the library to read up my text? hardworking or what. im going to the library tomorrow. bahhh. ): anyway, im still rejoicing cos of the friends i have here. chaiying and our lil' secret course! hurr hurr. lyn and her-letting-me-bother character! cherie and i fretting about starting to study (which i have)! ning ever quite busy, but still has time for me! hee hee, i am lucky. but not so contented. hahaha, (: gina: hey, if you're reading this. REPLY MY EMAIL! and, i just felt like posting a shoutout to you. for no apparent reason, also. (: hah. ele: hello. HAHAHA! im going mad. please, dont have too much fun without me.. i'll feel. i'll feel, left out! ): hahahaha. ping: i miss you, ): bahhhh, see you soon! jan: yoohooo. can you update more anot HUH!? hahah, and dont worry bout the uni course enrolment shit luh.. still have time. dont worry, see me? im still fretting about it.. and its only the first semester first year. HAHAHA. love you! (: a little random something: Everyone needs some solitude every now and again -- even a social butterfly(??) like you! Take time out to let your adoring fans miss you for a while, okay? Just relax -- you don't have to use this time to ponder significant philosophical ideas or dig deep into your subconscious. Instead, just let the time go by and enjoy obeying your own whims and desires. Remind yourself that, ultimately, you're in charge of your own time. PICTURES! from chien's birthday at lavish. at cherie's place. ![]() lyn and i ![]() the three of us! (looking less than flattering) haha. ![]() group pic! im somewhere at the back, lyn, adi, jane, charles and june(jane's sis). ![]() and, lastly.. the retro twist. hurrhurr. ![]() this insanity is temporary, please bear with me! hahaha! :D Monday, February 26, 2007, 10:39 p.m.
i, i don't know why i miss you so much school today was.. slack? i had my microecons tute in the morning, and there was no accounts tute and psych practical (which they did not say, resulting in me sleeping in class for an hour) after. cherie, lyn, adi and i were reminiscing about our trinity days, HAHAHA! and, we totally do NOT act like uni students?! hilarious. met them after psych, watched pursuit of happyness in the halfpipe, snuck nando's in as usual! hahaha. ![]() i think it's another awesome show altogether. seems like its a good movie year, hope the up-and-coming trilogy shows will be just as good. cant wait!
