Bleh ... summer school >_<" I have a test tomorrow! A TEST!! Nooo ... at least it's all easy stuff now; stuff we've done in Chem last year. The teacher's not so bad (at least he's no Mr. Ito)! If it were, I'd be outta there ...

And Aileen's in my class! So it's not just me ... and Karen is taking Chem 12 at Burnaby South too. Figured today that it does take me an hour to bus home. Bleh.

I'm finished the English reading list! Yay!! Fugitive Pieces is my favourite, I think. Now I'm off reading other things. Like Northanger Abbey. Sam, you have to read it! It's hilarious!

"No young lady can be justified in falling in love before the gentleman's love is declared."

"Perhaps we are talking about you; therefore I would advise you not to listen, or you may happen to hear something not very agreeable."

"A woman especially, if she have the misfortune of knowing anything, should conceal it as well as she can."

"Miss Morland, no one can think more highly of the understanding of women than I do. In my opinion, nature has given them so much that they never find it necessary to use more than half."

"My heart, indeed! What can you have to do with hearts? You men have none of you any hearts."

"There was a great deal of good sense in all this; but there are some situations of the human mind in which good sense has very little power."

"I leave it to be settled ... whether the tendency of this work be altogether to recommend parental tyranny, or reward filial disobedience."

Jane Austen makes me laugh. ^___^

Yesterday was probably the most productive day of summer vacation thus far ... keeping in mind that "productive", like failing, is relative.

Volounteering at Bard on the Beach began at 2:30. Concession. After a summer of Subway, you guys make me sign up for concession?? What's up with that?? What was I thinking ... but it was alright. They made me cashier; Sam is my runner! And during the play, before intermission, we could all walk down to the beach. So prettyful there, just sitting on the rocks and watching the water.

Our shift ended at roughly 5:30, and we disbanded. Sam walked with me from Vanier Park to Subway! WIN! I was kinda edgy cuz I actually had no idea how to get there, but we got Cat to point us in the general direction ... once we hit Davie after crossing the Burrard Street Bridge and I began recognizing landmarks, it was all good xD

So, we reached Subway unharmed (we'd never get lost anyway, no, never). Justin and James and Jocelyn were there, working away ... *laughs evilly* But it was sweltering! We found later that it was 30 degrees in the back o_O; that's insane ... that air-conditioning should be fixed. At least the Subway smell wasn't as strong (although it did end up seeping into my clothes again). Sam's dad came to pick her up at 6:30 whereas I stayed on for another 3 hours for no apparent reason (must've been the heat). I mean, even Jocelyn left at 7:45 ...

Since I don't trust my sub-making skills anymore, I conveniently left the customers to Justin, who left them to James most of the time. Evil! Then I prepped steak and green pepper, and James got me a cookie and pepsi :9 WIN! Mingled into that was getting them both to slack off even more than they normally would (if that's at all possible), warning James about IB, watching Justin threaten to commit suicide ... maybe that's why I stayed so long. Entertainment *^^*

Then at 8:30 my mom phoned -.-;; haha how did she know? I think Catherine had something to do with that xD ... the result of that was I got a ride home! Yay! And she wasn't particularly mad, which was good ... although she was kinda worried cuz she had no idea where I was. Bleh ... I can fend for myself, no?

Finally finished Plant SDS and need to hand it in today (Justin, you were so right ... plants are boring _-_). Bleh ... I've had enough of root pressure.

I'm also up to my ears in Conference Director meetings ... there's ANOTHER one next week! o(>.<)'9"

Oh yes, report card day o_O; my marks are quite interesting ... you see some go up and others go down ... some plateau and others fluctuate. But since they're all safely within the A range, I guess I don't have anything to complain about. Hrm.

Two days ago I had one second cousin. Now I have two! *^____________________^*

Math portfolios make me angry o(>.<)'9"

Especially when it's on vectors. Because ever since we started vectors, I've stopped doing my math homework, for some odd reason. It also doesn't help when the people I've talked to think there are problems with the questions. Hrmm.

If I'd read the assignment sheet over beforehand, I would've known to ask Will for his graphlink cable again so I wouldn't have to draw the graphs by hand. Oops. but I'm almost done! Yay (and thanks so much for the help ... you know who you are)! *^.~*

So, Michael's little get-together was today ... fun ^^ and I didn't even need to bring David! We are *so* good at keeping ourselves amused for 6 hours! I <3 his cats (o^.^o) darn, forgot to steal Ickis ... hope Sam remembered to steal Soos *glares*! You did, didn't you?

This I stole from Lain! ^^ Let's see how many words I can force out about hair, of all subjects. Probably more than I can about toothpaste, at any rate. Can anyone tell that I just REALLY don't want to work on my math portfolio? (I also think this is supposed to be for Friday, but oh wells xD)

1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short?
Hrmm ... my hair is long and black. Oh, and naturally wavy ... sometimes I think that if it were just straight I'd be able to do more with it. But then again, it's just hair.

2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime?
Well, I've worn it progressively longer over the years. When I was younger it was often shoulder-length, and I had bangs (don't know what happened to those).

3. How do you normally wear your hair?
I just tie it back. Anything else takes too long. Heck, I never even blow-dry it.

4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like?
I'd like my hair to be slightly more manageable instead of getting tangled every half hour! Also, it'd be interesting having super-long hair falling way down to my feet ... haha ... when it comes down to it though, I'm fine with my hair the way it is.

5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened?
First of all, I don't really DO anything with my hair that would likely result in a disaster. But whenever my mom promises to "trim" it, she ends up cutting off several inches.

No school today *^^* but school tomorrow >_< grrr. Conference Directors' meetings take far too much time. I think we overcomplicate things, but anyways ... it's still good.

This is discouraging ... I was happy because things were almost over. But are they ever going to be over? It doesn't appear to be; not with IB. There are still assignments to finish, and so many things to do over the summer. But at least most of the stress has let up.

Annual distribution was yesterday! Much fun-ness ... I like this year's better than last year's. Even though they spelled "baccalaureate" wrong. But more on that later ... I'm being kicked off again xD

History day, check. English day, check. Granted, they weren't the most interesting extended classes, but I'd much rather have them than finals. Saves me the extra studying.

The English final today was ... not a problem. Not so much of a joke as last year's exam. But still ... 90 questions in 60 minutes, finished 30 minutes early, had fun rereading the story excerpts. I miss reading -.-;; I shall start up again this summer. The math final, on the other hand, was a little tight on time. But, well, I've kind of stopped caring.

Had an IB Conference Directors' meeting this afternoon ... surprisingly, it is true that I'm the only non-IB Council non-French Immersion person there. That's ... interesting; I wonder why? But they're fun people and we all know each other so, yar. Group leaders were designated today (now I have a list of all IB 11s with their student numbers! Miar har har!). I foresee too many meetings in the near future.

It's almost over!! *^O^*

Monday would be the last day of school ... if it weren't for IB extended classes. But most of the tension is gone (except for Bio SDS, but bah). English final on Monday; not too worried about that. I just need to reread Henry V again.

Speaking of Shakespeare, a bunch of us went to see Comedy of Errors last night at Bard on the Beach. Quoth Michael, "That was the best 14 dollars I ever spent." xD It was fun like fun-ness! I've never even read the play. Sam, Cat, Mike, and I left Big Bang work session to bus to Oakridge for dinner ... we met up with Anthony there, who was nice enough to drive us all to Bard! Yay -- saved us an hour bus ride! *^^*

Chen is going to Waterloo tomorrow~! *xiang ni o* Hrm ... *wonders is there is time for me to get my L before summer is out*

What Color Star Are You? *better than before!*
brought to you by Quizilla

Yes yes, I know I haven't blogged in, like, forever. Isn't that officially termed a hiatus? Anyhoo. I'm back now, hopefully. And while I was gone this blog coursed through its first anniversary, I believe. Coolness, no? *throws confetti*

I've mentioned a killer week before this ... but lately it's honestly been killer week after killer week, for at least 3 consecutive weeks.

May 19-23: Group 4 project. Some turbulence there, but all in all it was pretty fun. And I didn't come out of it hating any of you, so Bobby ... you're wrong! xP

May 26-30: World Lit and TOK essay drafts both due, which was hectic while it lasted but incredibly helpful for the following week. Also Math double-chapter test and Bio quiz and lab.

June 2-6: I was away in Langley the weekend before, which presented some difficulties (my TOK group didn't even meet until I got home Sunday night)! TOK presentation on Monday (we got 18/20! Not bad for BS-ing at 2:30 in the morning). French journals were also due that day, but I'd actually been keeping up-to-date on those ... unlike some people who were frantically writing 56 entries the night before. World Lit and TOK final copies due, French oral, Group 4 presentation. I'm still surprised I survived thus far!

This week: Bio dossier!! Mine turned out to be only 35 pages; I was trying to squeeze things onto a single page. Cristina's dossier is 70 pages long! *keels over* Dr. Gabbott has sneaky evil ways of making us write what is essentially an encyclopedia! Chem test today, not bad. CAS journals, math final on Thursday, History document assignment.

Is that all? Well, almost; not quite. People keep asking me why I was so ... occupied ... and I TOLD you you'd get bored if I listed them. But anyways. It's almost over~!!! Wheeeee~!!

Does that mean back to Subway?
