Thursday, June 27, 2002 Oh, did I say "off work for the next 2 days"? *grumble grumble*

Tuesday, June 25, 2002 So the first thing that crosses my mind this morning is, "Oh, no -- must be at Subway by 11:30. It's summer vacation, and I can't sleep till noon?" I spent the better part of 15 minutes shaking off remnants of a cobwebby dream, and was at the bus stop by 10:30.
Fortunately, though, it isn't so bad once I'm actually there ... quite fun, even. Only very hot! Way too hot for oversized Subway shirts and black pants! And I think the air conditioning periodically malfunctions ... plus today was Toonie Tuesday, and Rosey and I had to handle the "lunch rush" ourselves! Then we split the tips ($2 for me)!
Guess who came in at a bit past 3? TRAVIS, PETER, STEVE. I don't think I've seen any of them since grade 7! I didn't even recognize Steve till the end; I recognized Travis right away, though. I don't know if they knew me ... and Peter has a girlfriend (*smirk*).
Cat arrived at 5:15 or so; my shift ended at 5:30. But then the "dinner rush" began, and Ying, Rosey, and I couldn't leave for another hour! I had already changed ... so I ended up chopping 4 bucketfuls of tomato.
As an aside, it's interesting the number of customers who have British accents, and say "tom-AH-to". Oh yes, and one person paid for a $7 meal with a $100 bill ... that was funny. I shouldn't have accepted it, actually, in case it was a counterfeit. Anyhow, today was fun! And I'm off work for the next 2 days!

Monday, June 24, 2002 Well. What have I to say? Absolutely nothing. Oh yes, Neale has a blog now -- that's another link on my list! I wonder if Michael has one yet, and if he knows I haven't yet carried out my part of the bargain by signing up for Youthink. I will eventually, though. Eventually.
Worked at Subway today from 12:00 to 5:15 and got to know some of my fellow employees better. So far, so good. And because I've been kind of busy, I am at this point only halfway through *Dom Casmurro* And Thursday is report card distribution day!

Saturday, June 22, 2002 At this point, I have finished reading *Chronicle of a Death Foretold* and am a third of the way through *Dom Casmurro* Frankly, reading over the summer doesn't bother me. I actually want to read Henry V, just to refresh my memory.
I am tired. But I have a summer job, of sorts! I work at my cousin's Subway ... this should be fun. Taxing but fun (mind you, my words a month from now may be quite different). Right now, I am too tired to give a more detailed report.
Speaking of reports, report card distribution is on the 27th of June ...

Wednesday, June 19, 2002 Yesterday was annual day ... lalala ... many many people signed mine, and I signed many many people's ... and it was fun, only I seemed to tire out after PE. Joseph's comment made me laugh: "Stupid Stupid Stupid Sarah so good in math" -- his exact words. And Shannon's: "Practice stabbing yourself ... we might need it again." (in ref. to our EN play, that is)
Hey, if I end up getting an A in both PE and CT, I can make Principal's List! CT I'm not worried about -- it was, after all, my easiest class; easy marks. As for PE, I admit apprehension. I've no idea how Mr. McGillivray marks. But I survived Pre-IB; that alone is cause for rejoicing!

Monday, June 17, 2002 Yay! No more finals! No more tests! No more work! 1 more day of school! Can you tell that I am celebrating? Hooray!! We get our annuals tomorrow. I am waiting impatiently.
*sigh* In spite of all, how glad I am that finals are over, and how elated I am about the impending summer ... I find there is still something lacking. Seriously, I was BORED this weekend, with nothing to do. That was odd. I haven't been bored in a long while -- there's always something to do! And school is like the centre of my social life! Thanks to it, I see most of my friends nearly every day ... and someone else ...

Friday, June 14, 2002 Hooray! 4 finals over and done with! Only 1 more to go! And that one would be the SS in-class essay on Riel that I've been ranting about for the past several weeks. Still, I plan to slack off this weekend ... or, at least, the rest of today.
EN final was insanely easy. We had an hour; I finished in 20 minutes. SC, now, was something else altogether. The final was evil. Hopefully, though, I can still get an A in the subject.
Today began with the FR final, which wasn't too bad, considering I studied for all of 30 minutes in total. The exam was actually kinda fun. MA final was, I admit, harder than the midterm, but nothing I couldn't handle! I want my annual ...
