We got home just as the sun came up on Friday morning. Our flight back was smooth and quick. It may be just me but I think red-eye flights go buy 10 times faster then a flight leaving and arriving in the middle of the day. Anyway, Friday was such a lazy, wasteful day. We were all awake until 7am or so when one-by-one we hit the sack. We didn't wake up until after noon. A few hours later we all fell asleep again. We were so tired and barely awake that we decided to leave the dogs at the kennel until Saturday morning.
The return timing for this trip was/is perfect. Having all these days off due to labor day weekend is wonderful. I've been spending the last two days relaxing, doing minor house chores, like laundry, and basically getting myself ready for work next week. My mom is flying up here on a red eye on Wednesday night. Why? Well my sitter is going on vacation and because I just took a vacation I feel bad asking for more time off. So I talked to my mom and she agreed to come up for a week to watch Kai so T and I could get back into the swing of things.
One thing I did leave out was that, while in Hawaii, I bought myself a little treat. I splurged and bought myself a new Louis Vuitton. I received a bonus the week before I left for vacation. Since this was totally and completely unexpected I decided I would treat myself to a little something. I used the purse once in Hawaii and just switched my purses over last night. Mmmmmm....I love me some Louis Vuitton.
Another tooth has come in for Kai. I'm shocked I missed all the teething signs, it was like he didn't have any this time around. I was playing with him yesterday morning and noticed the little sucker growing in. Finally, he won't have just two little chompers in his bottom row. It seems like it is taking forever for his teeth to come in, but I'm sure it grows in at different rates for every child. While in Hawaii we did not give him any babyfood. and you know what, he did fine with everything he ate. We decided to finish up with the baby bucket foods that we have left, mainly having the sitter feed him with it and we're just going to transisition him over on full-fledged big kid foods. He is eating so much better now that we are giving him homecooked meats, rice and pasta. Although the little mench still loves his yogurt in the morning.
Our last couple of days in Hawaii was spent vacationing in Waikiki. Kai stayed with his Gran's and Gramps while T and I sunned it up and soaked up the AC at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. What a relaxing getaway! It was strange not having the mench in tow and waking up with no little wimperings from him. We really needed that. We splashed around in the pool, swam at the beach, acted like tourist strolling through Waikiki and even had breakfast on the beach at Dukes with my brother-in-law. Peaceful times.
I know this entry has just been a hodge podge of info but I wanted to make sure I got some info out there before it all became a blur.

Wow, 4-days down in Hawaii! How quickly time flies. Last night was Kai's birthday party. It was a ton of fun and there were a hell of a lot of guests! Mainly family and family friends but it was all good. There was lots of food, lots of drinks and lots of live music (guess that comes with the territory when my dad's a musician.) My two guests and family were able to make it which made me really happy. Shelli and family were great to see. I haven't seen here since her 10-year old was a teeny baby. Jen was also able to make it which was wonderful, I hadn't seen here since 1998 or so. We'll be hanging out again before we go so we can fully catch up with all the lost time. T and I did get an added bonus. Ron and Morris were vacationing on Hawaii and flew into Honolulu for a connecting flight yesterday. There flight was overbooked so they volunteered their seats (for lots of airline goodies, of course) to leave on today's flight and were able to come to Kai's party. Yeah!
Today was major, major, major clean up. It is so hot here that doing any manual labors outdoor is PAINFUL. I helped about 50 percent of the time and T helped the other 50 percent of the time. Seeing as though my work is limited I did all the super easy stuff. Tonight, once Kai goes down, we're hitting the movie theater for a light night flick. Should be fun since its been ages since we've seen a movie together. Tomorrow through Wednesday we'll be staying here while my parent's take care of the little guy all on their own. I need to make up a little chart of feeding times and some of te things to feed Kai. My mom was asking me what she could feed him and I would rather give her a short little list then try to experiment with different things. Of course it may just be me being a paranoid mom. Anyway, I'm so looking forward to this part of the vacation. I want to hang out at the pool, be a tourist in Waikiki, go to a nice quiet dinner with the hubs and bask in ice cold A/C on someone else's bill. *Sigh*
The past few days have been such lazy days. Laying around part of the time and decorating and last minute errands for the bday for part of the time. Now the vacation really begins!
More to come.

So i screwed up on the entry below. Xinh's comment made me re-read the preceding text and I realized my faux pas. See what happens when you rush! Okay, its fixed now. I left some items untouched casue frankly, i don't have an opinion on them. Didn't hate it but didn't love it either.
I ate some yogurt for breakfast and now i have a tummy ache. To much dairy!!!! Blach!
This weekend was spent, cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. Ugh...to much clenaing. I have a vintage stainless and enamel stove and I cleaned and polished that darn thing. It is gleaming! I don't want to use it. Well I haven't used it since I cleaned it. I refuse to leave for Hawaii with a dirty house. That's the worst, going on vacation and coming home to a messy house. I did a lot of laundry on Saturday and packed all of Kai's stuff. I just need to get his diaper bag packed which will consist of a few diapers, drinks and snacks. I had to make an impromptu Target run on Sunday. My mom called and told me that my cousins two little girls have birthday's (Aug and Sept) and that I may want to consider buying them a little something. The girls are a year apart and as much as I don't want this happening to me I bought them matching coral colored crocheted shrugs. I hope they like it and D doesn't get to pissed i bought them matching sweaters. Oh well.
My schedule is pretty clear this afternoon and I'm hoping I can get out of here a little early so I can do some laundry before I have to pick Kai up from the sitters. I also want a headstart on packing the toiletries and such. I'm not worried about my clothes is all the little things i'm worried about. Traveling with a child can really make things seem so much more frantic then it really needs to be.

Today on my way to work I saw my first mini-truck in 5-years. I forgot how funny looking they were. This one was lowered, the cab was chopped so all the windows and such were a fraction of its size and it was painted day-glo, mother of all flourescent oragnes! It was a god damn eyesore....Thank god I was in the most rightest lane and I could slow down and gasp! It could have benn the darkness of night and he could have singlehandly lit up the 134 East bound lanes.
This week is flying by. Work, work and more work! No biggie. I'm not bitter about work...not since...hmmmm.....March 1 to be precise. It's amazing to have week after week of work go by and be relatively stress free. I couldn't be happier. The faster work goes by the faster I can start my vacation. My friend Ron leaves for Hawaii today. Our trips do overlap but we won't be able to see each other. No biggie, would have been fun, but we'll see each other back in SoCal. Upon talking to my mom it sounds like Kai's bday extravaganza is totally on track and i'll just need to pick up some little items once I get there. I'm sure the decorating will be hectic and tiring but I think we'll have enough people on hands to help us out.
This week I've worn all the new clothes I bought myself last week. So comfy and so not dowdy! After dressing like shit while being pregnant with Kai I refuse to do that again. This time I bought a lot more figure hugging maternity outfits. I love seeing pregnant women in fitted outfits...You got the belly why not show it off! I'm so over any tent like outfits. That stuff is for home and that's it! One glorious thing is that I had one pair of True Religions that were bigger then the other and because its kinda low cut I'm still able to wear it. I button it under my belly and i'm good to rock and roll! I was at lunch the other day and I saw a pregnant woman at the table behind me and I totally don't get what some of these women think. Honestly, do they think there days of dolling up is over? I mean her hair was blach, in one of those half ponytails with a tourquise scrunchies, she had a matching sleevelss, keyholed tourquise tent-like maternity top and totally ugle coordinating baggy, tourquise shorts! Why!!!??? Why???? There is absolutely NO GOD REASON to leave your home looking that way. Seriously wear that shit at home not to the Cheesecake Factory. If you were to show up at my house unannounced I would probably look like crap BUT I'm at home! When I'm at work, out with friends, shopping I tend to wear something better and definetly no shorts, top, scrunchy matching combo. People confuse me!
So I have this tattoo on my stomach. It really took a toll during my first pregnancy and didn't really look 100% once my stomach mostly got back to normal. This time, it looks like its going to be in worse shape. Oh, its stretched out now, gigantic!, and it looks pathetic! I can't even and don't want to imagine what this poor thing is going to look like once the littlest guy is born. One thing, I'm planning on getting a tummy tuck after this second baby. Not really planning on having any more kids but would like to get a super tight flat tummy once all kids are out of me. When I do that, my sad stretched out tattoo will be nothing but a memory! I'm totally okay with that tattoo being cut away with all the left over fat.
So we have to bust our asses this weekend. Besides the pre-vaca cleaning we may need to get Kai's bio cards and headshots together (finally) and drop them off at his Manager's office. Apparently there's been an increase in episodic castings for babies. I'm torn, the money is awesome and I would love to have some money saved up for him but the time committment is insane. My work is picking up and I don't know what kind of freedom I will have to shuttle him around. I need to talk to T about this more and figure out what we are going to do. Ugh!

As you all know, I LOVE JEANS! To be more specific I LOVE DESIGNER JEANS. The fit, the cut, the stitching...its all in the details baby. While looking MSN's homepage I found an article that I would like to share, read about the Denim Bubble. Reading the article reminds me of the few days T and I spent kicking ourselves for not snapping up True Religion stock when it was dirt cheap! And yes, I love the stock market as well. Fast money!

As hard as I'm trying to change the course of my day, I have a feeling its going to be one of those days! Pulling into the parking structure and work I scraped my car against these stupid white poles they have so you don't hit the curb. So instead of just bouncing up and over the little curb you hit the damn pole. Okay so there is a big white smear on my car. Not super concerned since I've done this before and it all came right off cause its just paint on the surface! Sucks!!!!!!(yelling)
Now i'm just sitting here at my desk being a dork. Wanna know exactly why i'm being a dork? You're going to laugh but i'll share. I'm streaming the new Hilary Duff album. Yeah I could probably be her super young mom but I just needed something so sugar coated right now something to take my mind off the white smear on my car. I told T that when I come home he should stay in the house and not look at the car. Okay....I need to stop thinking about this.
Every Friday night the facilities people shut off the ice machine because the ice normally ends up freezing over after sitting there untouched for two days. So now I'm waiting for the ice machine to start producing ice so I can have my iced decaf for the day! Don't they understand a girls gotta have her iced coffee! I'm a bit of a wreck this morning. My jeans are a bit to big and sliding off my ass, my hair outta control and simply matted to my head into a bun except I attempted to create some sort of style by adding a little bangs and whispyness, not working! I think this day needs to be on fast forward so I can be back at home.

This weekend has been relaxing. A lowkey Saturday, which consisted of an errand run to Target first thing in the morning. But I went out of my way to go to the Target in Pasadena and as mentioned yesterday a trip to Expo.
Today was a nice day as well. Again lowkey but we spent a good few hours out of the house. I spent a few hours playing with Kai before cooking breakfast. I made some yummy blueberry and banana pancakes, herbed potatos and scrambled eggs. It was so yummy! Have I ever mentioned how much I just love cooking breakfast. I love making it decorative with fruit and powdered sugar. On a side note, I used to shy away from cooking potatoes with breakfast, not because I thought it was to starchy or anything but because I thought I would have to boil or bake the potato to get it to an edible consistency. Then my mom showed me how to speed the process up in the microwave, and within 5-minutes or more viola! the potatoes are ready to be spiced and fried. Yum! Now we get yummy homefried potatoes for breakfast almost every other weekend.
After breakfast we chilled for a little bit and then headed out for the day. We headed to Sherman Oaks to pick up a few items from the Right Start. I picked up the following items:
Diaper Dekor plus refills
Cup holder for the stroller
Snack Trap
Some new disposable sippy cups
While at The Right Start we test drove the Bugaboo to decide that this will be the right storller for baby number two. Kai loved it! He didn't want to get out and he didn't even fuss when we tilted him in the various seating positions. In fact, he didn't want to get out. When we took him out he just wanted to climb back in. After looking at it, wieghing our options and pros and cons of throwing down that kind of cash we feel confident that this will be the storller for us (in orange, in case you're wondering). We left the store drove down Ventura for a bit and decided to hit the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square to kill some time. We stopped into the Babystyle shop where there was an incredible sale (Liz, thanks for the tip on the opening of Babystyle at the Glendale Galleria!!!) I picked up a few items for myself, all on sale (I was a good girl) and a not on sale pullover hoodie for Kai. T could not resist it! Kai was going nuts in the store walking all over the place, playing with all the display storllers and checking out the other babies. The one thing I love about kid stores is that nobody thinks anything if your baby starts yelling, squeaking and genrally running amuck. Kai also scored some cute old school Vans (now he matches mommy and daddy). We desperately wanted to get him the checkerboard slip ons but the size he actually takes was nearly impossible to get his foot into and one size bigger was okay and he could walk but the show slipped on and off a little to easily so we opted for velcro ones. He wore them out of the store and I think he thought he was one little piece of macdaddy because he was stomping around the mall like he owned the place. We strolled the mall for a while stopped for turkey burgers and pasta salad and then called it a day. Kai must have tired himself out because he passed out in the car and is still sound asleep.
I've cleaned the kitchen, washed two loads of laundry, burned a CD for a friend and now I'm just gearing up to watch the Comedy Central roast of Pam Anderson. Looking forward to the fact that this will be my last full week of work before vacation!

We had the opportunity to talk to a lender regarding our line of credit. Bad news we don't qualify right now but the good news is in 3-months the little black mark on our credit rating will fall off and allow us to qualify for a really good interest rate and as the lender explained we will be able to qualify for nearly double what we asked for. That is actually fantastic news. To be able to qualify for more money in 3-months we will be able to renovate our kitchen! Yeah. So although we have to wait it will be totally worth it.
Because a kitchen remodel is a big deal we went to Expo just to price cabinatry and just familiarize ourselves with names of manufacturers. We know how we want our kitchen to ultimately look like but we were curious to see the bells and whistles available. I picked up a few kitchen magazine/catalogs to look at mainly for manufacturer information. This is so exciting for me and I know that the cost of a kitchen remodel will all be recouped when we sell the house.
I'm so glad we're taking it easy this weekend. Last weekend was nuts. Much to hectic for me and the mench. Monday was a tough one for the mench. He didn't wake up until 11.30 am and that's because my sitter had to physically wake him up! Oh no, can't let that happen to frequently.
Ok Kai is wanting to eat, badly. More later.

I've decided to stop spending my money,
during the work week, on iced coffee.
Sometimes I can be so dense. Only today
did it hit me that I can just make myself
a nice tall glass of iced decaf at work.
I'm on my second glass and it is yummy. I
bought a little thing of milk so I could
add a splash to my decaf and its
wonderful. Super Tasty! And after
learning my lesson on Monday, I layed off
the overdose of fruit. Today I had a
bagel with cream cheese and a banana and I
feel fine.
I finished reading Harry Potter and the
Half-Blood Prince yesterday. It took me
longer then I imagined but then again I
have a child I need to watch inbetween
every page or so. Ok, that was a great
book and I eagerly await the next, along
with everyone else. At least we only have
a few months for the Goblet of
Fire movie to come out. I won't make
any mention of the new book here, although
most who are interested have probably
already read it.
So a lot of old pals are surfacing out of
My Space lately. Its weird to be in
contact with them after years but I'm very
much selective of whom I will be in
contact with. Definetly my Chicago Pals,
most of my Hawaii pals and as for Seattle,
way to much drama baby! Some highschool
people have been in contact with me
through My Space but they are harmless and
i'll gladly accept their request.
Sometimes I think its strange that some of
these girls would add me cause we weren't
like best buds in school or anything. We
were cordial but we would have never
invited each other out for the weekend.
Whatever.
On a totally separate note The Dan Band
will be playing at the Avalon on the 19th of
this month. I want to go! I wonder if I
can muster up a baby sitter for the
evening?

I took to generic Tylenol as I felt a major migraine coming on. It is now subsiding. Yesterday I felt wretched, after eating some fruit for breakfast I totally puked. I really hate that churning feeling you get before you throw up and throwing up at work just plain sucks! I thought all would be good once I puked but right before lunch I did it again. I didn't feel 100 percent after but maybe 80%. I felt wretched all afternoon and just chilled on my fat ass the evening. I woke up with the same feeling this monring and decided I better stay home. I kind of think i'm feeling a bit sick due to my pre-natal pill. I haven't taken it yet, today, and outside of feeling extremely worn out and extraordinarily tired no puking.
While home today, I wanted to go to Target, clean the bathroom, vaccuum and do laundry. Did I do that? Nope! I did get dinner together and its cooking in the crock pot, I put some laundry in the dryer and that's about it. I've just relaxed and slept for most of the day and I think that is what I needed. so I guess its a good thing I didn't over exert myself.
I've been really wanting to buy a new pair os sandals. I want to get a low wedge or low platform. I've been wearing flats so frequently that I really need a change. The sandals I have are to high to be wearing while pregnant. I found a pair on Zappos that I like but they are flats which I am trying to avoid but may break down and by these cause they are so cute. The one thing I find so awesome is that while pregnant is that my shopping habit is seriously curbed. I want to buy accessories, shoes and bags but those are purchases I make in frequently cause those are the big splurges. Normally my funds are allocated on clothing but I really don't like spending the dosh on maternity clothes. I've done my fair share of maternity shopping this time around and I think i'm done unless I grow out of all my clothes. I want a new LV but we're waiting cause I think it will be my birthing gift this year since the littlest guy will be due around christmas. Okay enough about all this, im just rambling and tired.

This weekend was packed full-o-fun! At the very least it was super busy and Kai will probably be crashed out for a majority of the day. We spent the entire Saturday, from afternoon to late night, at Ron's parents place in West Covina. We went out for his birthday and then back to his parents for drinks, cakes, prezzies and swimming. It was a lot of fun and really relaxing. I had a hard time thinking of what to get Ron for his gift. I went to the store and they didn't have the atomic bonsai, i searched and searched and decided to go with his secret hobby and bought him Design for Impact. It was so nice to get into a pool and just relax. Although I made the mistake of doing my hair that morning so I refused to get it wet so I just kind of soaked and bobbed along in the water. Kai loved the pool as well! T went in with him and they had a ball! Kai had a great time at their house, they had a nice patio and lawn area so he could just run around and play all afternoon.
Sunday was the company picnic. This even is turning more and more into a family gathering. But I really shouldn't be surprised. I remember going to my dad's company picnics and it was the same thing, lots of kids and games and lots of food. You could tell that the people without children or really wasn't into the family type atmosphere just wasn't having any fun, to bad so sad, stay home next time. I mean, its a company sponsored event, not a god damn singles mingle you know. Of course you're going to be with your co-workders and their families what else do you expect. I had a good time, and I forsee as Kai gets older it will get more fun. They had a bunch of inflatable type games, moon bounce, basketball hoops, maze and giant slide. T took Kai down the giant slide and he had a blast! I think he really liked all that abrupt bouncing down. I tend to think Kai will be a rollarcoaster type kid like his dad unlike me who will typically stick to the kiddie rides. There was a raffle as usual, and as usual I won squat! I give up with the raffle thing I never, ever win.
By yesterday evening I was beat! At some point I just gave up and went into bed. I read for a little bit and fell asleep. And now its back to work. I'm hoping the next couple of weeks fly by like last week. I really want to just go to Hawaii already. I want, I need, I deserve this break!

I got cut off in the parking structure this morning. Not just within the parking structure but at the entrance. Upon entering the structure I swiped my card as usual and turned left down the first aisle as usual. Some dumb bitch in a gigantic pick up truck cut me off as i was turning so I had to dramatically turn my steering wheel into a sharp left which caused the back rear well of my car to drag across the pole warning you of the curb. Mother F*cker!!!! I quickly drove to my regular parking area, shut the car off, hopped out and prayed for no dent! Luckily, the rear well and only the rear well has a long smear of white paint. I ran my hand over it and a bunch of paint flaked off. Luckily this is just on the surface, maybe there will be some scratches but i'll buy some touch up paint. I did not see any dents what so ever, so when I get home I think i'm going to water down some nail polish remover and try to wipe off the paint. This happened to my first new car I ever bought and for a long time I thought it scraped off my paint but when I took it to a body shop they just used some watered down paint thinner and it all came right up with no scratches. I'm hoping this is the same case as it looks 99.9 percent similar. But the bitch in the truck....if it weren't for security cameras in the structure I would slash her tires on my lunch break!
I can't believe how quickly this week flew by. I guess I was pretty darn busy. I have a quarterly review this afternoon, I completed my self assessment early last week so hopefully all is a okay.
I've been totally slacking with my 360 page. I need to get on the ball and start clicking away with the camera phone. I have a busy weekend ahead of me so I'll have the perfect opportunity. Speaking of weekend, I need to head down to Chinatown tomorrow morning. We're going to Ron's birthday late lunch/dinner tomrrow evening and I refuse to go empty handed. I know exactly what I want to buy him I just hope they still carry it. I have confidence the store will have it.

I Laughed Hard!
Take the quiz: "What type of designer handbag are you?"

Louis Vuitton
Congrats, you're Luis Vuitton! Image is nearly everything to you. You love the classic, and the classy. You don't lack for class and everyone wants you! Try to not let your ego get too big, though.

Kai is feeling soooooo miserable. He's hardly eating, sleeping really uncomfortably, completely cranky and is plagued by fevers. He's teething again. Both his sitter and I are concluding these are his mollars. He is sticking his finger towards the rear corner of his mouth and gently knawing on them. He has more interest in chewing on his bottle's nipple then drinking from it and he is enjoying sucking on some ice cubes. He is not a happy camper. Once his Motrin kicks in he starts to feel better and is willing to walkaround and somewhat play but he is not nearly himself. Poor little guy!
It's off to another doctor's appointment this morning. This is just a routine visit, no ultrasounds or needles poking at me today. Probably just turning in some pee, heart rate and blood pressure and lastly listening to the heartbeat. I can't believe the end of this week will be 20 weeks (or was it next week). I should probably keep track of these things. I go by months normally it's easier for me to keep straight with everything else I have going on.
This upcoming weekend is going to be busy, busy, busy! Saturday we'll be heading out to Chino to go to my friends birthday dinner at Honolulu Harry's then to his parent's house for swimming, drinks and birthday cake. Yum! Then on Sunday it's my companies Summer Social. This will be the last year it is held in Pasadena. I'm hoping it won't be as hot as it is every other year. That said I really want to focus on being mellow this week and taking it easy. The weekend will be a whirlwind and I wish I requested Monday off of work.
T and I are thinking of having a garage sale in two weeks. We have so much junk in our garage that we need to get rid of. Normally, we lug this stuff of to the VFW thrift store but I realized some of this stuff is good stuff that we could actually sell. For instance, three perfect condition CD racks, a metal two shelved tv cart, lots of clothes and books, dishes, some computer stuff including a first/second generation torquise IMac (needs a bit of work but for 10-20 bucks) may be worth it some artwork and a slew of other stuff. I think either the weekend of the 13-14 or the 20-21 would be ideal. It would be a fun time and i'm thinking of hitting up some friends and seeing if they want to join in on the fun if they have some stuff they want to sell as well. It would actually be fun cause we could BBQ and hang out. Maybe this will motiviate T and I to fill up the pool so we can lounge around doing nothing once the garage sale wraps up.
Speaking of water, I need to buy myself a maternity bathing suit. I wanted to order a really cute one from Babystyle but I was real hesitant because I was concerned about the fit. And since the suit was on sale I was afraid if I had to return it/if I could return it, they may not have my size available. So I will be buying it from Target. Not what I really wanted to do since I wanted a solid swimsuit and there's are all printed or ugly. But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
Finally sent out Kai's birthday invitations. But I have found out that certain family memeber's have taken it upon themselves to verbally invite people to the party. For example my Popo decided to invite a friend of hers after my mom and I decided not to inbite her. She was on our maybe list in which we quickly moved her to the no list and without any warning Popo decided to tell my mom she decided to invite this person. I know there will be much more of these types of invites to come. I suggested my mom maybe we should hire someone to collect invites at the door, like a ticket, for admission. My mom told me not to be such a tight ass and to relax cause its all kosher. I like things planned and organzied and this type of inviting is neither planned nor organized. I'm tyring not to care bacause it really isn't a big deal at all and I know with everyone that will ultimately show up we will all have a good time. The actual hard copy list has us at much more people then we thought, the combined children and adult count is current around 85 and only about 12 of that are children. Yikes! My guess is we'll break a hundred. I know we're also having live music and a squashed the jumpy castle and my dad said no to ponies, elephants and a juggling stilt walker. So it will just be your typical laid back hawaiian style get together. Oh, i'm just thinking about all that yummy food!

I couldn't bear to have a blank page and just needed to put something on here to take up some space. Here's a lame joke that was on a Laffy Taffy wrapper:
What did the ocean say to the shore?
Answer
Nothing, it just waved.
